Coleen and Wayne Rooney Name Son Kai Wayne

Coleen has given birth to her first child, a son whom the couple has decided to name Kai Wayne Rooney.

The name Kai has Scandinavian origins and means “rejoice” in Finnish. In Japanese Kai means “the earth” while in Hawaiian it means “the sea.”

The name has been slowly rising in popularity since the 1990’s. An uncommon first name for men but a very common last name for both men and women (#25480 out of 88799). (1990 U.S. Census)

Coleen and Wayne had kept the sex of the baby a surprise.

Coleen is expected to leave the hospital tomorrow and will start her life at home being a first time mum.

Karolína Kurková Welcomes a Son

Model Karolína Kurková has given birth to her first child, a boy, whom she named Tobin Jack Drury.

Karolína Kurková and her fiancé Archie Drury, welcomed their son on Thursday, October 29th in New York City. A rep for the model told PEOPLE, “Both mother and baby are happy and healthy.”

Tobin Jack Drury weighed in at 6 lbs., 3 oz.

Tobin is the first child for Karolina and Archie. The pregnancy was announced back in July.

         

Baby Rooney arrives! Wayne and Coleen welcome the new addition to the family

Wayne and Coleen Rooney are celebrating the birth of their first baby! The babies sex is still unknown though Coleen is expected to return home from the hospital tomorrow evening.

Nine days late, it is believed that doctors then decided to induce the baby giving two misopostrol pills to help along with the delivery. She checked into the delivery room and gave birth to a baby boy at 12.45.

Wayne Rooney held his wife’s hand throughout the delivery period and was in tears when Col handed over the baby.

The Daily Mail quotes an inside source saying: “Wayne was a star with Coleen.

“He didn’t leave her side from the moment she came into the hospital.

“When Col gave birth, Wayne’s eyes welled up.

“As soon as he was handed the baby the tears began.

“He was over the moon and was saying “I can’t believe it.’”

Rooney looks set to miss tomorrow night’s United’s Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow to be with his wife and child.

The family of both Wayne and Coleen were in the hospital and Wayne’s brother Stephen and cousin Clare arrived at the hospital an hour after birth clutching flowers.

Coleen – who has been preparing her and Wayne’s £3.5 million mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire ahead of the big day - has been thrilled at the prospect of becoming a mum, saying recently: “Because you’re getting bigger, you can’t wait to meet the baby.”

She is also planning her own range of baby clothing.

Coleen Rooney’s family have arrived at Liverpool Women’s Hospital to welcome the birth of baby Rooney.

Mother Colette, father and brother arrived at the hospital in Liverpool today as the wife of the football star prepares to birth her first baby.

No official announcement from the couple as yet, however sources say it is only a matter of time until Coleen and Wayne are parents.

Wayne Rooney was missing from football training for Manchester United this morning as he stood by Coleen’s side as her birth ran nine days overdue.

Most wives of footballers are known for paying to give birth at London’s Portland hospital. Victoria Beckham, Jamie Redknapp’s wife Louise and Frank Lampard’s ex-girlfriend Ellen Rives all had their babies there.

Coleen has broken ranks with other celebrities by snubbing the magazine deals for pictures of the baby and chosing to give birth at a National Health hospital. Insisting she wants her child to be kept out of the spotlight, she turned down a £1million offer from OK to pose with her husband and the expected baby.

Coleen recently took the chance to go shopping near the pair’s home in Prestbury, Cheshire. Husband Wayne, relaxed with his fellow Manchester United team-mates by having an afternoon playing golf.

French president Sarkozy and Carla Bruni plan for a baby

The French president Nicolas Sarkozy, 54, and Carla Bruni, 41, are reportedly wishing for the pitter-patter of tiny feet around the Elysee Palace. Another reason rumoured is that a baby may help him win the next presidential election in 2012.

Jacques Seguela, a friend of Sarkozy and cupid to the couple leaked the news to the French celeb magazine, “Voici” earlier this week.

Jacques Seguela said: “Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni very much want to have a child. Carla has already said so several times, otherwise I would not be allowed to say this.

“Everyone knows about it now. They are a young couple, and like all young couples, they want to start a family.”

The president has three children from two previous marriages, all boys. Bruni has one son from a previous relationship.

No comment on the rumours from the palace.

         

Mel Gibson’s baby girl makes him, “Octopop”

Oksana Grigorieva has given birth to a healthy baby girl.

Grigorieva, has given birth a few weeks before her due date. However, mom and daughter are healthy and recovering at home.

This is Mel Gibson’s eighth child, earning him the title of “Octopop”. It’s also the second child for Grigorieva, 39, who has a 12-year-old son by actor Timothy Dalton, (Of James Bond Fame).

Gibson, 53, is currently embroiled in a divorce with ex Robyn, who looks set to be awarded half of the actor’s £640million fortune.

Initially the relationship was made public in April at the Hollywood premiere of, “X Men Origins: Wolverine,” days after his estranged wife filed the divorce papers.

Last month the singer dismissed marriage rumours saying the couple had ‘no plans to marry whatsoever’.

She continued: ‘I haven’t thought about it.”

The Russian brunette has also been busy with her music career.

Since signing with Gibson’s record label she has recorded an album called Beautiful Heartache.

Recently Oksana Grigorieva is reported to have turned down a prenuptial contract with Mel - $5 million a year for up to 10 years. Gibson’s generous offer was apparantly refused, saying, she wants “all or nothing,” which is putting the marriage on ice.

Radaronline is reporting that Mel Gibson’s girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has given birth to the couple’s daughter.

It’s being reported that Mel and Oksana welcomed a daughter into the world on Oct 30th. Oksana’s due date was not until the middle of November, but reports are saying that mom and baby are doing fine.

No other details such as baby’s name or weight are given.

This is the eight child for Mel, who recently divorced his wife to be with Oksana.

         

Jude Law Wants to Visit Daughter Sophia But is Torn Between His Other Children

After a DNA test proved that Jude Law is the father of baby Sophia, the actor says that he is planning on visiting his daughter but wants to be sure that he does it rightly by his other children.

In the beginning, Jude Law thought it would just be easier if he never saw his daughter and only sent Samantha money to take care of Sophia, but apparently the actor is having a change of heart.

A family friend says, “He is feeling very torn. He is on the brink of going to see Sophia but first of all, he wants to make sure his older kids feel totally secure and to make them feel they are involved in what is one of the biggest decisions of his life.”

Jude has three children with his ex-wife Sadie Frost, Rafferty, 13, Iris, 9, and Rudy, 7. The children recently flew to New York where Jude is performing on Broadway. Friends say he did this to prove to his children that Sophia will not change anything between them.

The family friend added, “Samantha wants him to be involved with their daughter’s life and be an active father. And Jude’s own parents want to know their new granddaughter.”

Samantha Burke recently sold the first pictures of Sophia to Hello! Magazine for £180,000.

         

Vincent Simone Gets Back Together With Mother of His Child

Strictly Come Dancing star Vincent Simone is back together with Susan Duddy after she left him when he cheated on her with fellow dancer Kristina Rihanoff.

Susan was 5 months pregnant with Vincent’s baby when she walked out on him for cheating on her. Their son Luca is now 10 months old and has apparently made Susan more forgiving because she has taken Vincent back.

Susan says that she and Vincent have been back together for 6 weeks now.

She told the Daily Mail, “It’s wonderful. We are very happy. There are very strong feelings between us. We really want to make it work and he’s trying very hard to make amends. Fatherhood has softened him.”

She added, “He’s been brilliant with Luca. He’s a natural daddy. He changes nappies, does feeds, plays with him and talks to him in Italian. He’s very much a hands-on father, when time permits.”

The couple had first met in 2007 at a BBC bar and were living together 6 months later. Susan said that she was in “shock” when Vincent told her he had been sleeping with Kristina.

The two remained friends through the pregnancy and Susan says that her feelings for Vincent never changed.

Susan talked about the reuniting with Vincent, saying, “There was no big moment when we decided to give it another go. We were talking over the phone one night, about two weeks after Luca was born, and he said, “When are you coming over for good?” I arrived two weeks after that.”

Susan added, “The important thing is he is doing everything possible to show me he is trustworthy. And I can’t ask for more than that.”
