Kate Hudson smokes out pregnancy myth

Kate Hudson, 30, dismisses the pregnancy rumours, started because of her relationship with Alex Rodriguez, third-baseman for the New York Yankees and a sudden “swollen stomach”.

In OK! Magazine Hudson said that after quitting smoking she felt compelled to eat instead, hence the belly.

Kate Hudson told the magazine: “Quitting meant eating more,
“Then, there were rumours in the press saying I was pregnant. Later somebody said, ‘When did you quit smoking?’ And I was like, ‘Right about the time everybody thought I was pregnant.’”

The actress has since lost 20 pounds. Kate has helped kick smoking and keep the weight off by cutting back on her alcohol intake.

Hudson has a son, Ryder Russell Robinson from her marriage with Chris Robinson, the frontman for The Black Crowes. The couple divorced in October of 2007.

Sandra Bullock reveals the extent of her love for Sunny James

Jeremy Aikman, Janine Lindemulder, Sandra Bullock and her husband, Jesse James, are caught in an increasingly public custody battle.

There is however more to this story, it’s about a child.

That child is 5-year-old Sunny James and in a recent discovery, the extent to which Sandra Bullock has gone to protect Sunny from unbalance in her life becomes apparent.

In a shock revelation, Sandra Bullock has been holding off on starting a family of her own for the sake of the girl centred in the battle. In a declaration by Bullock against Janine, she reveals:

“We realized that due to the instability in [the girl's] life, bringing another child into the world at this time would not be in [the girl's] best interest,” she wrote.

“I am aware that Janine has claimed many times that my desire to have [the girl], was because I could not have children of my own, that couldn’t be farther from the truth.”

“I myself have stopped working like I used to in order to be here with Jesse and the kids because we are on constant high alert never knowing what condition Janine will be in, and even more concerning, the condition [the girl] will be in.”

In the declaration, Bullock asserts she should have custody and is more than a stepmother.

The declarations come as Lindemulder fights for more parental rights.

Jeremy Aikman, her husband is reported to be an ex-convict while Lindemulder herself was recently released from jail, having served time for tax evasion. The pornstar who has openly talked about having her, “share of drugs”, is under a court order not to appear in adult films and is putting her energy into becoming a tattoo artist.

Six Weeks After Giving Birth Heidi Klum Will Host the Victoria’s Secret Runway Show

It has been announced that supermodel Heidi Klum will return to the runway only 6 weeks after giving birth to her 4th child as she hosts the Victoria’s Secret runway show.

Ed Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Victoria’s Secret tells PEOPLE, “Heidi is superwoman. She had a baby a few weeks ago and she is hosting the most high profile fashion show in the world.” He added, “Victoria’s Secret is thrilled to have her back. There is no one like her.”

Before the birth of her daughter Lou, Heidi had mentioned that she did not think that she would be able to return to the Victoria’s Secret show this year. She said that she was going “to take it easy and see what happens.”

The fashion show will take place on November 19 and will air on television on December 1st.

         

Katie Price and Peter Andre Reunite as Harvey Lays in Hospital With Suspected Swine Flu

The dueling couple have set aside their differences for the sake of Katie’s son Harvey who was admitted to the East Surrey Hospital in Redhill for suspected swine flu.

For the past few months Katie Price and her ex-husband Peter Andre have been doing nothing but publicly fighting, but yesterday they put all their differences aside as they both rushed to be with Katie’s son Harvey in the hospital.

it is feared that Harvey, who is suspected to have swine flu, will suffer greatly from complications from the illness. Harvey is autistic and has a condition called septo optic dysplasia which means that he needs 24 hour care for everyday things.

This is the first time that Katie and Andre have been together since they decided to separate besides the exchanges of the children.

Harvey was taken to the hospital by Katie’s mum Amy and a nanny as Katie was away on her book tour. Harvey will remain in the hospital for at least 48 hours so that the medical staff can access him properly.

A source told the Mirror: “Harvey had a massive temperature and couldn’t keep any food down either. More worryingly, his breathing was also a huge concern and there was no option but to urgently seek medical advice. He’s a very poorly young man.”

A spokesperson for Katie said, “Harvey woke up on Wednesday with a very high temperature and flu-like symptoms so he was taken to hospital, as he always would be with such symptoms because of his disabilities. Doctors decided to keep him in hospital overnight for observation as a precautionary measure because of his underlying health problems.”

The rep also said that Katie called Peter as soon as she heard the news about Harvey and called Harvey’s biological father Dwight Yorke as well. Peter canceled an appearance at a London store to turn on the Christmas lights to be with Harvey in the hospital.

Katie’s mum will be watching after Katie and Peter’s other children Junior and  Princess Tiaamii.

         

Angelina Jolie Reveals Her Flat Stomach for the First Time After Giving Birth to Twins

In Angelina Jolie’s latest movie, Salt, the actress strips down to her lingerie exposing her stomach for the first time after having her twins, who are now 16 months old.

Giving birth to her twins Knox and Vivienne hasn’t stopped Angelina from showing off a flat stomach in her latest movie. Angelina filmed the movie only 6 months after giving birth to the twins, which is a pretty amazing feet to get back into that good of shape that quick.

The new trailer for Salt, which was released online this week, shows Angelina wearing only a bra and underwear with a robe, exposing a flat stomach for all to see.

Some people are claiming that the actress hired a body double, but the actress’ tattoos are clearly seen.

In her latest movie, Jolie plays a CIA agent on the run after being accused of being a Russian sleeper spy. Angelina returns to her action movie roots.

The last time that Angelina had been seen with her stomach exposed was back in the movie Tomb Raider which was before she had her daughter Shiloh and her twins.

Salt is set to be released in August 2010 in the UK and July 2010 for the US.

         

Debi Mazar and Madonna Have Play Dates Together for Their Kids

The Entourage actress Debi Mazar says that she and Madonna have been friends for three decades and now their children are friends as well.

Debi says, “Our children have had play dates, and we will always be friends.”

Mazar has appeared in 5 of Madonna’s music videos including “Papa Don’t Preach” and “Justify My Love.”

The actress says that she and Madonna “enjoy each other’s company immensely.”

Debi has 2 children, Evelyn, 7, and Giulia, 3 while Madonna has 4 children Lourdes, 12, Rocco, 8, David Banda, 4, and Mercy 3.

Debi adds that she and Madonna are “both creative minds” and that she hopes to work with the pop star again. She says that she does have difficulty finding time now to get together as she has working responsibilities as well as balancing time to spend with her kids.

         

Scrubs Star Sarah Chalke Expecting a Boy

The Scrubs actress Sarah Chalke is expecting her first child and it’s a boy.

Two of the main stars on Scrubs are expecting their first babies. Sarah Chalke is pregnant with her first and it’s going to be a boy. Her due date is Christmas day.

Her co-star Judy Reyes is also pregnant with her first child, a girl who is due in early December.

Judy told Life and Style magazine, “We just had a talk about what it’s going to be like once they’re really here and both of us have no freaking idea what it’s going to be like!”

         

Kym Marsh Wins Celebrity Mum of the Year

The Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh picked up her award for Celebrity Mum of the Year at the Lowry Hotel and also announced that she was no longer single.

The mother of two beamed as she was awarded the Celebrity Mum of the Year Award but also because she announced that she had reconciled with her ex Jamie Lomas.

Kym said, “Yes we are back together. Jamie has got a son of his own and he is a very good father but he can’t win Celebrity Mum of the Year.”

Last month Kym and Jamie announced that they were ending their 15 month relationship but apparently that did not last very long.

Kym has had some hard time the past few years between the divorce of her and Jack Ryder, the split between her and Jamie and especially the premature death of her baby with Jamie.

When accepting her award, Kym said, “I have been a single parent in the past and I have had struggles so hopefully people still think I have done the best by my children. It is so important to have a big family network. My parents are so supportive and their dad is very involved in our children’s upbringing.”

Twenty celebrity mums were chosen as finalist and the winner was chosen by a public vote. Kym beat out other celebrity mums such as Samantha Cameron, Katie Price, Kate Moss, Geri Halliwell, Holly Willoughby, Charlotte Church, Natasha Kaplinsky and Kate Garraway.

Previous winners of the award include Katie Price (2007), Sharon Osbourne (2006), Kerry Katona (2005), Ulrika Jonsson (2004) and Melinda Messenger (2003).

Kym lives with her two children David,14 and Emily,11 in Cheshire. The father of her kids is her ex-boyfriend Dave Cunliffe.

         

March of Dimes Launches 7th Annual Prematurity Awareness Month

The March of Dimes has launched its 7th Annual Prematurity Awareness Month, once again focusing our attention on the growing problem of premature birth in the United States.  A birth is considered premature if it occurs before 37 weeks gestation.

The March of Dimes is the leading non-profit organization in the United States focusing its attention on our nation’s babies.  The March of Dimes web site provides extensive information for parents, professionals and researchers alike.

According to a report released by the March of Dimes in October, more than 13 million babies worldwide are born premature.  More than one million die each year.

“Too many U.S. babies are born too soon each year and don’t live to celebrate their first birthday.  This finding underscores the importance of supporting research to help us learn what causes preterm birth and how we can help give all babies a healthy start in life,” said Alan R. Fleischman, MD, medical director of the March of Dimes.

“No parent should ever have to experience the pain of losing a child from prematurity.”

The infant death rate in the United States is significantly higher than Europe. More than 540,000 premature babies are born each year.  The Institute of Medicine estimates that the premature births generate $26 billion in annual health care costs.

Premature birth is a leading cause of infant death.  Babies who are born early often have many health challenges including breathing problems, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and others.  Medical advances made through the efforts of the March of Dimes have led to millions of premature babies fighting for survival until they are able to go home with their parents and then grow into healthy adults with lives of purpose.

The 2009 Premature Birth Report Card will be released later this month grading our nation and individual states on their preterm birth rates.  The report will also assess states’ progress on improving access to health care coverage for women of childbearing age, helping women quit smoking during pregnancy and preventing c-sections prior to 39 weeks of pregnancy.  Improvement in these areas should lead to reduced preterm birth rates.

Fiona Phillips Prepares for Her TV Comeback As She Doesn’t Want to be a Full-time Mother

Only a year ago Fiona Phillips left GMTV to spend more time with her family, but now she is making her TV comeback after deciding she is not right for being a full-time mother.

The mother of two is set to present a new show about the festivities and story of Christmas this holiday season. She has also signed on to do a show next year for Sky Real Lives called Forces Reunited.

So, why is Fiona taking on all these new projects only a year after deciding to spend more time with her husband and two young sons? According to Fiona, “I’d be lying if I said I wanted to be a full-time mum, because I don’t.”

She added, “I adore my sons [Nathaniel, 10, and Mackenzie,7], but I’ve worked since the age of 11 and need to be stretched.”

Her decision to return back to her career on television is already bringing criticism from those who believe that the role of a mum is to be at home with her kids.
