The couple have apparently decided that it is time to try for a second child for them and want to get started when the new year begins.

Katie and Tom just celebrated their third wedding anniversary and decided that they want to expand their family. They already have a 3-year-old daughter Suri and Tom has 2 children from his previous marriage.

A friend of Katie’s told OK!, “She no longer feels like she’s just Mrs. Cruise. She’s her own person again. She and Tom have their disagreements, but deep down they love each other very much. That’s what is important.”

It’s rumored that Katie is ready to have another baby since she feels that her movie career has been established now and she is taken serious in the industry.

3 Year Old Suri Cruise Still Seen Drinking from a Bottle

Katie Holmes is receiving much criticism as she was seen holding Suri while she drank a bottle. Suri is 3 years old and according to most pediatricians way beyond the appropriate age for a bottle.

Most pediatricians recommend that parents take away a bottle from a child around 1 year of age and usually no later than 18 months of age. Apparently Katie Holmes has not gotten that message because her 3-year-old daughter Suri was seen drinking from a bottle just this week.

There are pictures of Katie feeding Suri a bottle while on the set of her movie, The Romantics.

Dr. Jennifer Shu, pediatrician told Usmagazine, “She should have been weaned off the bottle by the time she was one year old. By the time kids are nine months old, they have the physical development and mouth coordination necessary to be able to drink out of a sippy cup or a cup with straw. That development comes pretty early.”

She added, “You don’t force kids to crawl when they can walk.”

On the other hand, Dr. Harvey Kep, who is the author of The Happiest Toddler on the Block, says that it is not a big deal.  He says, “Sucking is normal for kids when they are tired or bored — as long as kids aren’t keeping the bottle in their mouths for hours. Thumb-sucking is more damaging.”

Dr. Shu says that if Suri is using the bottle as a comfort, Katie and Tom should offer her a different comfort object such as a blanket or stuffed animal.

If you read most baby and toddler books as well as read parenting websites, they recommend that a bottle is taken away way before the age of 3. so why are Tom and Katie letting Suri still drink from a bottle? Does she still use a bottle at preschool? Does anyone else find it strange that this little girl can wear high heel shoes but still drinks from a bottle?

When did you take the bottle away from your little one?

Two of the most popular celebrity toddlers are getting together for a tea party playdate.

According to OK! Magazine Katie Holmes and Angelina Jolie are planning the perfect play date for their children Suri and Shiloh. A friend of Katie’s tells the magazine that, “Katie loves entertaining and spoke to Angelina about having an at-home tea party with cupcakes for the girls.”

Plans for the plyadate actually started when Tom and Brad started talking about their kids to each other. They both “agreed to get their little girls together,” a source tells the magazine.

One of the reasons that Katie wants the playdate is so that Suri has someone her own age to play with and is able to open up with. A source says that ”Suri’s a very shy young lady.” Katie wants her to be less clingy and learn to play with children her own age instead of just her step siblings who are 12-14 years older than her. Apparently, Katie told Angelina that  “she just knew Suri and Shiloh are going to get along fantastically well,”
