Two-Year-Old Girl Strangled To Death By Pet Python
A two-year-old girl in Florida was strangled to death by an 8ft python as she lay sleeping her bed.
In horribly tragic news, two-year-old Shaiunna Hare was strangled by a pet python that got loose in the home. The python, which was kept as a pet by Charles Jason Darnell, who was Shaiunna’s mother’s live-in boyfriend, escaped from it’s cage after being put away for the night.
Charles went to check on the little girl when he noticed that the reptile had gone missing. He found the python wrapped around the little girl with bit marks on her head from the snake. He quickly started stabbing the snake until he was able to pry the two-year-old from the snake, but it was too late.
Emergency services was called, but Shaiunna was dead before they got there. it is now known who called emergency services, but the caller had this to say to the dispatcher, “The baby’s dead! Our stupid snake got out in the middle of the night and strangled the baby… She got out of the cage last night and got into the baby’s crib and strangled her to death.”
The snake was taken out of the home alive by the emergency services. The snake will be placed with someone who has an actual permit for keeping pythons until a further investigation is launched. Authorities are looking into whether this was just a tragic accident or a case of child neglect. Darnell did not have a permit for the snake.
Burmese pythons can reach a weight of 200 pounds (90kg) and a length of 26 feet (8 metres). There have been at least 12 cases in the United States of people dying from a python. Four of those people were children.

Jennifer Hudson’s Friend Confirms Pregnancy

After rumors have been swirling around, a longtime friend of Jennifer Hudson has confirmed the pregnancy and says the singer recently celebrated with a baby shower.
According to Felicia Fields, a close friend of Jennifer Hudson’s, the singer/actress is definitely pregnant and just recently had a baby shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of the baby. The sex of the baby is not known, as Hudson and her fiance David Otunga are not finding out the sex of the baby.
Jennifer’s friend says that the baby shower was a “quiet gathering” of close friends and family. The couple has been trying to keep the pregnancy quiet as they have actually denied the rumors that Jennifer is pregnant and have not commented on the baby shower.
An exact due date is not known, but Jennifer is approximately 7 months along in her pregnancy.
Also, recent photographs of Jennifer Hudson in Florida, clearly show quite a bit of a baby bump sticking out from her shirt!
Baby Girl Found In A Box Covered In Ants
A baby girl in Florida has been found in a box covered in ants.
Police were called out after a local resident discovered the child was discovered on Saturday evening.
He had been leaving his home and saw the box on a corner. After seeing a hand reaching out, he took a closer look and was shocked to find the baby. He looked after her until the police arrived.
Local resident Patricia Kinsler told reporters,”If they can stop on the corner and put her down there, they could have easily came and put her on my porch or any bodies porch. They didn’t have to leave her down there like that”.
Police are now looking for a grey pickup truck in the area on Friday evening. The child is now being cared for in custody.
Teenage Babysitter Caught After Kidnapping Baby
A teenage babysitter who was on the run with a 9-month-old baby she was looking after has been caught.
Renesha Shante Griner, 17, was looking after the baby girl in North Carolina while her mother was away during Memorial Day weekend.
Griner had contacted Victoria Purcell last week to ask if she could look after baby Saniya.
According to investigators, she had convinced an ex-boyfriend that the baby was his. She then travelled 675 miles to a small town close to Florida to be reunited with her ex-lover.
“Apparently she’s been telling the young man for about a year that first she was pregnant, then she had the child, sending him pictures through the computer of the baby saying it was their child,” Sheriff Hubert Peterkin said.
“We found out that the family [of the man] were expecting the baby…they had embraced this child as their own and so did the young man, him being the father.”
Griner has now been arrested. The family of her ex-boyfriend are very upset, they had welcomed the child into their family and had made arrangements to support the mother and baby.
The Purcell family are making plans to travel to collect their baby.

Singer Deborah Cox Gives Birth To a Little Girl

Canadian-born R&B singer Deborah Cox welcomed a little girl into the world on February 23. This is her third child.
Cox gave birth to Kaila Michelle Stephens in Miami, Florida this past week. Kaila weighed in at 7lbs. 7oz. This is the third child for Deborah and her husband Lascelles Stephens. Kaila was welcomed home by big brother Isaiah,5 and sister Sumayah,2.
The pregnancy for the singer was announced back in October of last year when she posted a message to her fans on her MySpace page.
Cox just recently released an album (The Promise) back in November and will be going on tour this spring for the album.
