Names of Sarah Jessica’s Twins Revealed

Yesterday it was reported that Sarah Jessica Parker andher husband Matthew Broderick welcomed their twin daughters into the world, but little information was known. We now know the names and other birth statistics of the girls.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have extended their family by two little girls. Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick were born on June 22nd at 3:58 pm in Ohio.

They both weighed in at healthy rates with Marion being 5lbs 11oz and Tabitha at 6lbs.

The couple released a statement saying, “The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon.”

The twins were due early July, but it is not uncommon for twins to come early.

Marion and Tabitha will join big brother James Wilkie, 6, at home.

Celebrities In Trouble For Shedding Baby Fat Too Quick

Celebrities have been criticized for losing baby weight too quickly and starting a new trend with new mothers.

Experts have warned that too much weight loss after giving birth could impact breastfeeding.

The German Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG), also stressed that weight gain during pregnancy was important to nourish the growing baby.

The Institute’s Director, Professor Peter Sawicki, said: “Often, the extra effort women have to make to look after a new baby and breastfeed after giving birth means the kilos just melt away without effort,”

“But for about half of all women, the weight will not go away as quickly,”

Other studies have shown that if women become overweight during pregnancy, they will have higher chances of weight problems if they have not returned to a normal weight within a year of having a baby.

“It is not a good idea to ‘eat for two’ in pregnancy and forget about your weight until after the baby is born if you are at all overweight or prone to overweight already.

“Women need to eat well enough for themselves and their baby, but pregnancy is not a time to overeat,” ,” said Professor Sawicki.

Evidence shows that a balance diet, with or without extra exercise, will help new mothers regain control of their weight.

53-Year-Old Mother To Twins Jokes About Retirement

A 53-year old woman in New York has become the mother to twin boys.

Sarajean Grainson talked about becoming a ‘mature’ mother on Thursday at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island.

The boys were born last month, Grainson has three children from a previous marriage who are now 31, 28 and 22 years old.

The proud mother joked that she wouldn’t need to go parachuting or to the Caribbean during her golden years as she would be too busy raising kids.

Her husband David, a former Roman Catholic priest, said that the babies are “a gift from God.”

         

Nicole Richie Will Have a Surprise Delivery

Despite the rumors that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden will be having a boy this time around, according to Joel, they do not know the sex of the baby.

Nicole Richie and her partner Joel Madden are enjoying the fact that they will have another surprise delivery. Joel told PEOPLE magazine, “We don’t know what the sex is. We waited on the first one and it was such an awesome experience that we can’t wait to see what the next one is. It’s exciting to wait it out.”

The musician also added that Nicole and him are a lot calmer and less stressed out with this pregnancy. It’s a lot easier,” Joel said. “You’ve already been through it and it’s not as intense and dramatic. We’re a little more relaxed. It’s actually kind of nice.”

Nicole is due is late summer/early fall with the couple’s second child. They have a 1-year-old daughter named Harlow.

         

Actress Judy Reyes Expecting First Child

Scrubs actress Judy Reyes announced that she is pregnant with her first child.

Judy Reyes, who stars as nurse Carla on the television show Scrubs announced that her and her boyfriend George Valencia are expecting their first child. The baby is due sometime in November.

Reyes, 41, has also starred in HBO’s Oz, Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story, and Glow Ropes: The Rise and Fall of a Bar Mitzvah Emcee.

The couple’s surrogate has given birth to the twin girls according to a report from a local newspaper in Ohio.

Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick are parents once again. Their surrogate gave birth to the couple’s twin daughters this week as reported by a  local newspaper in Martins Ferry, Ohio. No birth details have been announced, but a rep for East Ohio Regional Hospital told PEOPLE that “everything’s good.”

Fellow Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall is offering her congratulations to the couple saying, “I’m thrilled for Sarah, Matthew, and James Wilkie. More ‘fabulous girls’ are joining our SATC family.”

The couple announced the pregnancy back in April, telling everybody that a surrogate was carrying the twin girls. Matthew told David Letterman, “I’m nervous just even thinking about it, but it’s girls … two little girls.”

Sarah Jessica and Matthew have been married for 12 years and also have a 6-year-old son James Wilkie.

Stillborn Babies In Maine To Be Issued With Birth Certificates

Last Friday a new law was introduced into Augusta, Maine to issue birth certificates for stillborn babies.

Gov. John Baldacci signed the bill which has been called Noah’s Law.

The law was named after Lindsay and Mark Schuenke’s son who was stillborn.

Until now, parents were only issued with a death certificate in the state of Maine.

Now parents will be able to obtain a birth certificate as a legal document of a stillborn baby’s existence.

Mr and Mrs Schuenke expressed their desire that they had been issued with a birth certificate for their son Noah.

         

Twins Taken Into Care After Mother Jokes They Have Ruined Her Body

A mother was left angry after her twin babies were taken into care by social workers.

The 36-year-old woman had joked that her body had been ruined after having a caesarean delivery.

She and her husband had spent over £38,000 on IVF treatment, and became pregnant after five rounds of treatment. The twins, a boy and girl, were delivered in December six weeks early. The couple, from Essex, are named as Mr and Mrs N to protect the identity of their family.

Social workers took the babies into care within weeks after hospital staff commented that the couple were struggling to look after them.

Nurses told social workers that the mother seemed to have resentments towards the children, and had joked about the effects of the birth on her body.

When the children were taken into care, the mother lost her temper, and officials have commented that she has ‘anger problems’ which could put her twins in danger.

After a secret Family Court hearing last week - warned the first time parents that their six-month-old boy and girl could be put up for adoption. The couple are currently only allowed ten hours of supervised contact with their son and daughter per week. Mrs N has been told she will not be able to have any further children due to medical reasons.

There has been concern that social workers are now becoming over strict after the death of Baby Peter in North London.

Mrs N said: ‘Social services should step in where there’s violence or abuse but we would never hurt our children.’

Celebrities Bring Their Kids Along to Ice Age 3 Premiere

The premiere of the movie Ice Age 3 in Leicester Square was full of celebrity families enjoying Father’s Day and spending time together.

It appeared that the premiere of Ice Age 3, a 3-D animated movie, was an event for the families. Celebrities showed up with their kids in tow ready to spend the day together and laugh at the movie.

Presenter Donna Air brought her daughter Freya while swimmer Sharon Davies brought along her son Finley.

Actor Greg Wise attended the premiere with his daughter Gaia, who’s mother is Emma Thompson. Actor Tom Carty arrived with his son two sons James and Thomas.

Donal Macintyre made it a family affair showing up to the premiere with his wife Ameera and their two daughters Allegra, 6, and Tiger, 2.

Pregnant celebrities were also a popular site on the red carpet. GMTV presenter Kate Garraway, who is expected to give birth any day now, made an appearance at the premiere. Also at the premiere was actress Camilla Rutherford, who is pregnant with her third child.

Actress Rachel Griffiths Welcomes a Baby Girl

The Brothers and Sisters actress’ rep has confirmed that Rachel gave  birth to a baby girl.

A rep for Rachel Griffiths has confirmed that Rachel gave birth to a daughter, bit did not release information on a name, day of birth or any other details for the baby girl. Rachel’s due date was the first week in July.

The baby girl joins big sister Adelaide Rose, 4, and big brother Banjo Patrick, 5.
