Jennifer Lopez: “Just Didn’t Care” About “Flabby Belly” After Having Twins
Jennifer Lopez was not the normal celebrity in that she says she “just didn’t care” that she had a “flabby belly” after giving birth to her twins in 2008.
She told US Weekly, “I remember my flabby belly hanging out right after I gave birth. I kind of laughed and said to Marc, ‘Look, baby! Isn’t this crazy?’ I just didn’t care.”
Although she may have not cared at the time, she does admit that she does feel differently about the pictures of her during that time. Lopez notes, “I look back at pictures from that time, and I’m like ‘Oh, god, I was fat. I was still heavy eight months out!’”
Jennifer, who is currently starring in the movie The Back-Up Plan, reveals that it was her children Max and Emme that finally motivated her to lose the extra weight. She explains, “You get to the point where you’re like, Where am I? What happened to me? I got to get myself together for my kids, you know? They need to know what I really look like.”
Although Jennifer says that she is back to being the same size she was before her twins were born she does reveal that clothes don’t exaclty fit the same though. She says that her “rib cage” shifted during the pregnancy and things don’t fit as they did before. “Before I was always able to fit into sample-size clothes from designers, and now they have to take them out just a bit…It’s no big deal.”
Max and Emme are Jennifer’s only children with her husband Marc Anthony.
