Jennifer Lopez Talks About Her Daughter’s Medical Scare
At just three weeks old, Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony had to rush their daughter Emme to the hospital.
Jennifer Lopez is speaking out about the medical scare that she had with her baby girl Emme. At only three weeks old, she discovered a lump on her daughter’s head.
She told E! Online, “We both got very nervous, very very nervous, and I just remember my heart sinking to my feet. I looked at [Marc] and I said, ‘You know if anything happens, I’m not going to be OK, you know that, right?’”
Jennifer and her husband Marc rushed Emme to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
In the end, their baby was just fine, but that prompted Jennifer to join forces with the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to create the Maribel Foundation, which offers pediatric services to people that can’t afford it.
She said, “I started to wonder, what if I couldn’t afford a doctor or receive the medicines, the procedures?”
Jennifer recently attended the charity event for the hospital were she previewed a song that she wrote for her twins.
