Kendra Wilkinson Shows Off Her Newborn Son in OK! Magazine
Reality star Kendra Wilkinson is on the cover the latest OK! posing with son Hank Baskett IV who was born on December 11.
Kendra originally planned a natural childbirth but had to be induced which led to a C-section for the new mom. Hank Baskett IV was born at 12:37 a.m. on Dec. 11, 2009, in Carmel, Ind. He weighed in at a healthy 9lbs 5 oz and 22 inches long.
Kendra, who stars in her own reality show named Kendra on the E! channel told OK!, “I was just in heaven. It was awesome.”
When asked how she was feeling while still recovering in the hospital after giving birth, she responded, “I have labor brain. I forgot everything that happened!” Her husband Hank Baskett, who plays professional football in the US said that he was in “straight awe.”
On her preparations for coming to the hospital she said, “The good thing about being induced is that it’s like planning a trip, just very calm. We ate a huge dinner before we came to the hospital. I ate a whole batch of brownies because I was nervous. No wonder he’s 9 pounds!”
Once she was at the hospital she said, “I was induced early in the morning; then it was wait, wait, wait. I was experiencing contractions throughout the day, and I was anxious. I kept checking the monitor every second, like “Is it happening yet?”
This is the first child for Kendra and Hank who married this summer.
