Rachel Stevens and Alex Bourne Expecting First Child
Rachel Stevens announced that she is expecting her first child later this year.
The news of a baby comes a few months before Rachel and her husband Alex Bourne celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
A rep for Rachel announced, “We are delighted to announce that Rachel Stevens and her husband Alex are expecting their first baby later this year.” Rachel added, “We are thrilled and so excited about becoming parents.”
Just earlier this week Rachel said that she thought it would be “amazing” to be able to have children with Alex. She said, “We’d absolutely love to have children. I think having children is the most amazing thing. I don’t think I can tell what kind of mum I’d be until I go through it. It’s such a life-changing thing.”
Stevens first came to fame singing in the group S Club 7 and even though she has not released an album since 2005, she says that she has plans for a new album. Those plans to release a new album may have to wait now that she will be having a baby.
Rachel and Alex started dating in 2007 and married summer 2009.
