Cristiano Ronaldo made a surprising announcement on Facebook and Twiiter stating that he has become a father to a little boy, but was the announcement really genuine?

The announcement was made on the Real Madrid’s star’s Facebook and Twitter page in both Portuguese as well as English, but a few hours later the Twitter page was suspended.

The message read, “It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become a father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.”

The Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha is claiming that the announcement is true and that the woman is an American lady who gave birth last month to Ronaldo’s son. It is still unclear if the baby is a result of a fling that Ronaldo had or if it was a surrogate mother agreement.

The newspaper also states that Cristiano is preparing the paperwork now to bring his son to Portugal where he will raise him. It also confirmed the announcement noting that the announcement was confirmed by Ronaldo’s management company.

Ronaldo has been linked to several different women in the past and has been known for having womanizing ways. Cristiano asked for privacy for him and his son right now.
