Lily Allen revealed the real reason for her hiatus from music and it apparently involves having a baby.

The singer had announced that she would be taking a break from her music to focus on her fashion but at Australia’s Big Day Out festival she revealed the real reason for her break.

She told her fans, “I want to have a baby. I’m not saying I’m pregnant now. Shut up, Lily. Shut up, Lily. That’s the sort of stuff that gets me into trouble I suppose.”

Lily has spoken out about her devastating miscarriage that she suffered in 2008. At the time she was dating Ed Simons and found out she was pregnant only to miscarry the baby weeks later after a public announcement.

Allen, who has been dating Sam Cooper since last summer has made it known that she is ready to settle down now. She recently admitted, “I just want to have babies and live in the countryside, that’s my goal really. I’m not a careerist, what I really want is to be a mum. I am driven, but that drive goes as far as keeping a roof over my head and having a routine.”

Lily has denied the recent rumors that her and Sam are engaged.
