Baby Delivered During Snowstorm By Deputy Sheriff
One baby couldn’t wait to start playing in the snow early Monday morning…
Mother, Stephanie Nylund was caught in a spring snowstorm on her way to hospital in Bailey, southwest Denver.
When road conditions started to get bad, father Jason Nylund thought he would have to deliver the baby himself.
“It was snowing like crazy. … The roads were so bad,” he said.
The couple spotted two sheriff’s duputies from Jefferson County on U.S. 285. Deputy Sheriff Tony Mayns helped to deliver the baby boy at 3 a.m. in the back of a Dodge Durango.
Mayns said that baby Ethan Phillip Nylund “just shot right into my arms.”
The family were later taken to the hospital by the Fire Department.
