Lily Allen Announces Her Pregnancy

After creating several rumors that she is expecting, Lily Allen announces that she is indeed pregnant.

A rep for the singer announced, “Lily Allen and Sam Cooper are very happy to confirm that Lily is expecting their first child. Lily’s professional commitments will carry on as normal, including a scheduled performance at the Big Chill this weekend.”

Allen also talked to The Sun and said, “It brings me great pleasure to tell you that Sam and I are expecting our first child. It goes without saying that we are both absolutely delighted.”

Lily and Sam started dating last summer and the singer has made it known how she wanted to take some time off from performing and become a mum.

This is not the first pregnancy for Allen though. Back in January 2008 Lily suffered a miscarriage less than a month after announcing that she was pregnant. She later broke up with her partner Ed Simons, who was the father of the baby.

This will be the first child between Lily and and her boyfriend Sam.

Gisele Bundchen Explains Her Controversial Breastfeeding Comment

Model Gisele Bundchen recently sparked some controversy saying that breastfeeding should be an international law but now she takes to her website to explain what she really meant.

In the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Gisele was interviewed about how motherhood is for her and in the interview she made a statement about how she believed that breastfeeding should be a law. She said, “I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.”

After her statement caused some controversy, she explained what she really meant on her website. She wrote,

“My intention in making a comment about the importance of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law. It comes from my passion and beliefs about children. Becoming a new mom has brought a lot of questions, I feel like I am in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for my child. It’s unfortunate that in an interview sometimes things can seem so black and white. I am sure if I would just be sitting talking about my experiences with other mothers, we would just be sharing opinions. I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge. I believe that bringing a life into this world is the single most important thing a person can undertake and it can also be the most challenging. I think as mothers we are all just trying our best.”

Benjamin is the first child for Gisele while her husband Tom Brady also has a son from a previous relationship.

         

James Van Der Beek Marries Pregnant Girlfriend

Actor James Van Der Beek tied the knot with his girlfriend Kimberly Brook, who is expecting the couple’s first child later this year.

The former Dawson’s Creek actor took to his Twitter account on Sunday to announce the good news. He wrote, “Best day of my life so far,” and then an hour later he tweeted, “The woman I love did me the honor of became my wife today. I look forward to earning her for the rest of my life.”

The couple are said to have married in a small ceremony at the Kabbalah Center in Tel Aviv, Israel. They have been dating since last summer after Van Der Beek separated from his wife Heather McComb. His divorce was final in March of this year.

James and Kimberly announced the pregnancy back in April and revealed that the baby was a girl in June. The baby is due to arrive in fall.

This will be the first child for both James and Kimberly.

         

Gisele Bundchen Wants a Law Regarding Breastfeeding

Since having her first child 7 months ago, model Gisele Bundchen has been outspoken on her views of child birth and raising a baby.

In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Gisele talks about the benefits that she has had from breastfeeding her 7 month old son Benjamin. “I think breastfeeding really helped (me keep me figure),” says Bundchen. “Some people here (in the US) think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?’ I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.”

The model, who had spoke out about her natural birth and said that it “didn’t hurt in the slightest,” also reveals how she prepared herself for giving birth by meditating. She reveals, “It prepared me mentally and physically. It’s called ‘labour’ not ‘holiday’ for a reason, and I knew that. You want to go into the most intense physical experience of your life unprepared? That doesn’t make any sense to me. Then I was ready and I thought OK, let’s get to work’. I wasn’t expecting someone else to get the baby out of me.”

Benjamin is the first child for Gisele while her husband Tom Brady has a son with his ex Bridget Moynahan.

         

EastEnders Actress Patsy Palmer is Pregnant

A spokesperson for the BBc confirms that Patsy Palmer is pregnant.

This will be the fourth child for Palmer who returned to EastEnders as Bianca Jackson back in 2008.

A rep for BBC said, “We can confirm that Patsy is pregnant and she is delighted.” No word on a the exact due date for Palmer.

Patsy is married to Richard Merkell.

         

Pregnant Alicia Keys Marries Swizz Beatz

Singer Alicia Keys, who is due to give birth to her first child in November, married her boyfriend, music producer Swizz Beatz this weekend.

The couple married in Corsica, France in front of other celebrities such as Queen Latifah and Bono. The couple had arrived a few days early and have been seen lounging around the city before walking down the aisle yesterday.

The couple has been dating since 2008 but only went public with their relationship a few months ago. Swizz Beatz, whose real name is Kaseem Dean just finalized his divorce from his ex Mashonda Tifrere a few months ago as well.

This will be the first child for Keys while Swizz Beatz has two children with his ex-wife.

         

Katie Price Says She is Open to Adoption

Katie Price has made it clear that she would love to have a child now with her new husband Alex Reid but she also says she is open to adoption.

Katie says, “We’re trying for a baby at the moment but we’ll definitely adopt if we can’t have children together. Even if we can have kids naturally, adopting is still something I would like to do.”

Price also revealed that she is open to acting as a surrogate for her best friend Gary Cockerill. She notes, “I would definitely be a surrogate mum for Gary and Phil if they want to have children. They’re a big part of my life and I’d love to help them out in that way. But I do want to have children with Alex before I do that.”

Katie and Alex married in February of this year after her divorce to Peter Andre was finalized. Katie has three children already, Harvey, 8, Junior, 5, and Princes Tiammii, 3.

         

Diablo Cody Welcomes a Son

Screenwriter Diablo Cody announced the arrival of her son Marcello Danial Maurio.

Cody took to her Twitter account to announce the news as she tweeted, “We had our boy early this morning! Marcello Daniel Maurio, 7lbs, 2 oz, lightly mustachioed.

This is the first child for the couple who announced the pregnancy back in April. The couple married last summer.

         

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom Rumored to Be Expecting First Child

After getting married earlier this month Orlando Bloom and  Miranda Kerr sparked rumors that the model was pregnant.

According to a new report from an inside source, Kerr is “definitely pregnant.”

She’s definitely pregnant… Miranda’s thrilled,” the source tells US magazine ”She’s telling all her friends, mostly other models, about it.”

The source says that most likely no official announcement will be made by the couple, but considering Kerr’s line of work of modeling lingerie it will become quite apparent in the next few months that she is indeed pregnant.

Miranda hasn’t hidden her desire to have children as she recently told an Australian newspaper, “I have always been very open about wanting to be a mother one day. And I’ve always thought Orlando would be a great dad!”

This would be the first child for both Orlando and Miranda.

         

Christina Applegate Reveals her Baby Bump on the Red Carpet

After having some difficulty trying to find something to wear on the red carpet, the actress shows off the first signs of her baby bump at the premiere of Cats and Dogs 2.

Before attending the premiere, Applegate took to her Twitter account to complain about her clothing options. She wrote, ”about to get ready for the Cats and Dogs dealio..All is well except that I don’t know how to dress this belly yet.So big black shirt it is.” The actress must have been having a hard time at home deciding on her clothing because earlier in the day she also tweeted, “Who are these women who can wear a short dress while pregnant? Seriously congrats ladies, cuz it aint gonna happen over here. Yikes!”

Christina ended up sporting a black tunic dress that she belted above her baby bump paired with black leggings. The outfit definitely revealed her growing baby bump.

Applegate announced last week that she and her finance Martyn Lenoble were expecting their first child.
