Peter Andre Named Celebrity Dad of the Year
The father of two accepted the Bounty Celebrity Dad of the Year Award.
Peter Andre has been through a lot in the past year with his divorce to Katie Price but he has never lost sight of the most important things in his life - his two children, Junior, 4, and Princess Tiaamii, 2. He received the Celebrity Dad of the Year award and felt honored to receive such an award.
Peter said, “This feels so good. It’s been a turnaround year for me and the kids and it’s an honor to be the subject of the publics support and best wishes. This means a huge amount to me as being a dad is my most important role.”
Peter even addressed the critics who said that this would be the only award that Andre ever won. His reply was, “Even if it is, what a great award to get. I mean, there isn’t a better award, there isn’t - because it’s lifelong. Other awards are for there and then, this is for life. My kids are going to know that I have won this.”
More than 35,000 votes were cast in the celebrity dad of the year poll. The runner up of the award was Jeff Brazier, who is the father of Jane Goody’s sons and the third place finisher was Gary Barlow.
Faye Mingo from bounty.com says that they couldn’t have been happier with Peter winning the award. “Bounty is thrilled Peter has been awarded the title. Our mums tell us that he’s an inspiration for all single dads going through a tough divorce and that they respect the fact that he makes time and puts in untold effort to be able to enjoy the family life he values so much.”
