Dannii Minogue Preparing for Motherhood as Due Date Approaches

Dannii Minogue is getting set to welcome her first child next month and is preparing for the biggest change in her life.

Dannii has returned back to her home country of Australia and is preparing to give birth to her first child there among her family and friends. She just finished her last job before the baby as a host of Australia’s Got Talent just last week.

Minogue and her partner Kris Smith just recently bought a home in Melbourne that is where they plan on raising their little one for awhile. The couple met back in 2008 and although they are will be welcoming a child together, Dannii says that she doesn’t know if she and Kris will married. Minogue was married to actor Julian McMahon for two years and was also engaged to Jacques Villeneuve in 2001.

Dannii reveals it was Kris who really wanted to start a family. She says. “I just never thought it was something I would do. I had never been broody. No clock was ticking. And I would never have wanted to do it unless I was in the right relationship. He felt like the one.”

Minogue also reveals that Kris has been nothing but supportive throughout the entire pregnancy and loves the way Dannii looks when she is pregnant.

“Kris loves me pregnant and that’s a big, big help. You do have hormonal days and I think if anything was said that left me thinking, ‘What did he mean by that?’ it might have got to me. But he is loving every minute of it,” she says. “And I’m not scared, I’m so excited. I think that’s because Kris is going to be brilliant. He’s changed nappies before and I haven’t, not even my nephew’s. My brother said to me, “It’s nappy-changing time. Don’t you think you should give this a go?” I said, “Absolutely not. All yours. Your child.”’

Dannii reveals that she knows the sex of the baby but is not revealing it before birth. Kris has been heard calling the baby her but the couple have also been seen buying blue clothing.

For Dannii she is happy with her life and expecting a child. Dannii exclaims, “I am happier than I have ever been. For a long time I knew I would love to share my life and my family with someone, but I never thought I would find the person.”
