Sandra Bullock Reveals Adopted Son and Files for Divorce

Sandra Bullock may be going through some hard times right now with the divorce to her husband Jesse James but there is one thing that she revealed that brings her joy, her 3 month old son whom she adopted secretly when he was born.

Sandra Bullock became mom to Louis Bardo when she adopted him in January. This was before she found out that her husband Jesse James was cheating on her.

Sandra, 45, appears on the latest issue of PEOPLE magazine holding her son, who was born in New Orleans. In the magazine she talks about adopting as well as reveals that she has filed for divorce from James.

Bullock and James started the adoption process nearly 4 years ago and were able to take custody of the little boy a few weeks after he was born. The couple decided to keep the adoption a secret until after the Academy Awards, in which Sandra won an award for her role in The Blind Side.

Unfortunately, only 10 days after winning her Academy Award, her husband’s mistress Michelle “Bombshell” McGee went public with her 11 month affair with Jesse.

On deciding to end her marriage, Sandra says, “I’m sad and I am scared.” When asked whether she knew if James had cheated she replied she , “had no idea about anything.” I did the only thing I could do, and that was to pack enough clothes to live on, get all of Louis’ things and get out of town. My main concern was Louis.”

Despite the the heartbreak of her marriage ending, she says that she is loving motherhood. When it comes to her son, she says, “He’s just perfect, I can’t even describe him any other way. All I said when I met him was “Oh, there you are”. It was like he had always been a part of our lives.”

When it came down to keeping the adoption a secret she says that it wasn’t easy. She reveals, “‘People that I had worked with for years couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t let them into my house for [Oscar ceremony gown] fittings.”

When asked whether James would have a part in little Louis’ life, she replied, “I will be adopting as a single parent. Anything else will be taken day by day.”

Jesse James told PEOPLE, “The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart.”
