Natasha Kaplinsky Pregnant With Second Child

Channel Five’s star newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky announces that she is pregnant again after only being back 8 months since birth of her first child.

Natasha announced that she was “stunned and excited” that she was pregnant once again. She had just returned from a five month maternity leave from her first child and now eight months later announces that she will be leaving again to have her second child.

When Natasha announced her first pregnancy only 6 weeks after landing £1million job, she caused quite a stir. When she returned to work this past February, she took a £300,000 pay cut so that she could lessen her schedule and spend more time with her son Arlo.

A source told The Sun, “She is obviously excited. She adores Arlo and loves being a mother. But she didn’t expect to be pregnant so soon and realises her bosses had hoped she would stay longer before going off on maternity leave again.”

The sourced added, “She had planned to wait at least a year so she could get her career on track.”

According to a spokesperson for Channel Five news, Kaplinsky is now on a freelance contract which means that she will not qualify for a paid maternity leave.

Natasha is married to investment banker Justin Bower. This will be the second child for the couple.
