Baby Shannon Dedrick found alive under bed

A seven-month-old Florida baby, (”Baby Shannon”) missing for five days was found alive and reportedly healthy under her babysitter’s bed.
Police found baby Shannon in a box hidden under a bed at the home of babysitter Susan Elizabeth Baker.
Washington County Sheriff Bobby Haddock said:”Statistically speaking this should not have ever happened, that we found this child alive, especially after so many days. Time was against us,” Haddock said.
Authorities don’t believe James Russell Dedrick Jr., the father, was involved but the case is still under investigation.
Her parents reported her missing on the weekend. A massive scale search and rescue was undertaken involving 75 workers scouring a kilometer radius around the baby’s home looking for evidence.
The baby was placed under protective custody and Florida authorities said they plan to charge the sitter, her husband and the child’s mother.
