Nas Abandons His Pregnant Wife Kelis

Kelis has accused Nas, her estranged husband, of abandoning her while pregnant.

The couple married in Januray 2005, and reported their divorce in April this year soon after Nas was seen photographed with unknown women while on tour.

The R&B singer is expecting the couple’s first child on July 21. MTV News obtained divorce papers which had been filed which contained details of her claims.

Kelis is now demanding child support, and other financial payments from Nas. She has said that she is now financially dependant on her estranged husband, and that her royalty payments from past work is used for monthly bills.

Nas has signed an $11 million Def Jam recording contract and also part owns Gorilla Union, a touring company. He has five homes, and several luxury cars and a driver in New York.

She has one 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, Destiny Jones. Although she has attempted to contact Nas, she is unable to get in touch with him.

“All of this is adding up and all of the weight is falling on her shoulders, creating extreme emotional stress which I’m sure has affects on her physically since she’s due to give birth any day now,” one friend said.

“Kelis has spent every last penny that she has to cover whatever expenses for the baby that she can but at this point really needs him to step up and share in the responsibility. She physically can’t work to bring in any sort of income, as much as she’d like to.”

Usher Split From Wife Five Months Before Birth Of Second Son

R&B Singer, Usher, has revealed in his divorce documents that he split up five months before the birth of his second son.

Usher and his wife Tameka Foster officially split up in July 2008, less than a year after marriage.

Their son, Naviyd Ely Raymond, was born in December.

The New York Daily News stated that the divorce petition on June 12 has said that “The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken,”
“There is no reasonable hope of reconciliation,” they added.

Foster suffered cardiac arrest whilst having cosmetic surgery in Brazil, and split from Usher four months after.
