Parminder Nagra welcomes a baby boy

British Born, Parminder Nagra, the former star of ER has become a mother to a baby boy, it’s the first for the actress.

Proud parents James Stenson and Parminder Nagrahave named their baby Kai David Singh Stenson. The pair were quoted by a representative as being, ‘thrilled’.

The rep. added: ‘He was born on Tuesday, May 19. Mother, daddy and baby are all doing great.’

Parminder found fame in the film Bend It Like Beckham, which also launched the career of Keira Knightley.

In the 2002 film she played a girl rebelling against a traditional upbringing by joining a football team.
Parminder, who was born in Leicester, had a similar life experience when she rejected her Sikh family’s attempt to find her a husband, pursing a career in acting instead.

The actress, who has also appeared in Twelfth Night and Ella Enchanted, attended a finale party for ER in March.

The last episode of ER, sadly will air in June, 15 seasons and 22 Primetime Emmy Awards since it began.

Nicole Kidman, “March of Dimes” volunteer

Around the United States hundreds of thousands turned out for charity, (Primarily non-celebrities) over the last few days, for a huge walkathon to raise money for the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes hopes to raise $117 million from the event.

• Jennifer Lopez lent a hand to the March of Dimes foundation’s walkathon in Key Biscayne, Florida.

• Kelly Clarkson and Nicole Kidman stepped out in Nashville, TN.

• Finally in LA, Volunteer moms include - Standing: Jenny Garth (90210), Kellie Martin (ER, Mystery Woman), Karyme Lozano (Telenovela actress, singer), Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon (Eyes), Melissa Joan Hart (Whispers and Lies, Sabrina the Teenage Witch); Seated: Julie Bowen (Boston Legal), Diane Farr (Numb3rs), Nancy O’Dell (Access Hollywood) and Elisabeth Rohm (Law & Order).

The charity is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. With chapters nationwide and its premier event, March for Babies®, the March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
