Kimora Lee Simmons Has a Low-Key Baby Shower

Kimora Lee Simmons had a small baby shower on April 19th as she awaits the birth of her third child.

Reality star and fashion designer, Kimora Lee Simmons celebrated the upcoming arrival of her third child with a small baby shower.

Guests which included Holly Robinson Peete and Stevie Wonder feasted on delicacies like shrimp caviar and poached salmon, along with comfort foods like macaroni and cheese and a fondue fountain with chocolate, fruit and marshmallows. The food was all from the Beverly Hills Hotel. Kimora said that she definitely influenced the menu choices. “I was very involved with the food because I’m a greedy pregnant girl,” she explains. “I’ve been eating a lot of spicy food. I put jalapeños in everything!”

Kimora also announced that although she is not 100% sure about the sex of the baby, she believes that it is going to be a boy this time around. The mom-to-be, who already has two little girls, Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki Lee, 6 ½, says that her belly is different this time around. “With the girls I was wider in the belly. Now I’m narrower, but if I turn sideways I can’t fit through the door!”

Kimora also says that the girls are excited about the arrival of the new baby. “The girls love being princesses. They love fashion and being girly. The girls say, ‘We’re going to dress the baby up!’ Djimon’s like, ‘No, you’re not going to be pinning tulle to the boy!’”

This will be the first baby for Kimora’s significant other, Djimon Hounsou. Kimora’s daughters are with her ex-husband Russell Simmons.
