Celine Dion: Morning Sickness was Reassuring

Celine Dion who announced she was pregnant with twins, says that she was happy to have morning sickness and everything else that comes with the first trimester of pregnancy.

After six IVF attempts, morning sickness was a welcoming sign for Celine Dion. She says, “The first two months I really felt the classical symptoms. The morning sickness, hot flashes, nausea. In a certain way, that reassured me, like a sign that my pregnancy was progressing. Now, everything is falling into place. I have a little belly. I’ve gained [10 lbs.].”

Dion, who is due in November, also reveals that her sixth round of IVF was going to be her last if it did not work. “We believed in trying one more time,” she says. “If [the doctor] had told me that my body was too tired, I would have given up.”

Celine will be finding out the gender of her little ones in the next week and is looking forward to having two babies to join her 9 year old son Rene Charles. Although her son has been an only child for quite some time, she is not worried about sibling jealousy. Dion notes, “We’re sensitive enough to not be blinded by the marvel of the newborns. We have a deep relationship of nine and a half years with René-Charles, and I’ll be able to see when he needs me.”
