Padma Lakshmi Hints About Baby Name
Although the Top Chef host has been keeping quite a bit secret about her pregnant, Padma did recently reveal some hints about what the baby’s name might be.
Padma Lakshmi hinted, “I am going to name the child an Indian name – I’m Indian.” She went on to add, “not a fancy name, but a name that is close to my family. It will be after someone in my family.”
Padma, whose name means “lotus flower” in Sanskrit, says, “So don’t expect to see an Anglicized name – it will be a classically Indian Sanskrit name.”
The former model would not say if the baby was a girl or boy.
Lakshmi has not revealed who the father of her baby is and most likely will not anytime soon.
She is due with her first child this spring.
