Jennifer Lopez States Her View on Fertility Treatments

The singer/actress Jennifer Lopez talks about her twins and her motivation as well as touches on her stance on fertility treatments in the February issue of ELLE.

Jennifer Lopez has no plans on slowing down any time soon. In fact, her 22-month-old twins, Maximilian David and Emme Maribel, have motivated her even more in her life.

She tells ELLE, “This is what I do — what, because I have kids and a husband now I’m not supposed to be me?”

She goes on to explain, “everything I wanted before, I want twice as much now.” Jennifer Lopez isn’t talking about “material things” but says, “It means to explore more, to think more. Being an artist doesn’t start because you’re 21, and it doesn’t end because you’re 51. You are who you are until the day you die.”

Being who she is and having the beliefs that she does was one reason why the singer decided to not pursue in vitro fertilization before conceiving her twins.

She says, “When it comes to family and relationships, I’m quite traditional Just because of the way I was raised.”

She goes on to further say, “I just felt like you don’t mess with things like that. And I guess deep down I really felt like either this is not going to happen for me or it is. You know what I mean? And if it is, it will. And if it’s not, it’s not going to.”

Max and Emme are the only children for Jennifer and her husband Marc Anthony.
