Jennifer Garner Kept Pregnancy a Secret on the Set of Her Latest Movie With Help of Clothes

While filming her latest movie The Invention Of Lying in summer 2008, Jennifer made sure to keep her pregnancy with her daughter Seraphina a secret.

Jennifer had just found out she was pregnant with her second child right before she started filming The Invention of Lying in the summer of 2008 and decided to keep her pregnancy a secret. She asked the film’s costume department to pick slimmer clothing for her that would hide any sign of a baby bump. Jennifer said, “‘They had to make me look skinnier with clothes.”

Co-director Matthew Robinson, said: ‘I think she didn’t want us babying her, no pun intended. Or worrying that we were pushing her too hard or working too long hours. She never told anybody. And it was a surprise to us when we found out a few months after we wrapped.”

Although Jennifer’s film career has taken off, she says that being a mum is still her favorite role. “I love being home and just diving into the whole world of it, making dinner and baking bread every Sunday and taking my daughter to school.”

She added, “You know, balance can be a nightmare for any working woman, and I count myself among them, but I have help and support from my husband and I can hire people to help me do what I need to do, so I’m a very lucky working mum.”

The actress was recently seen taking a walk with her two girls, Violet,3, and Seraphina, 10 months, back in her hometown of Boston after promoting The Invention of Lying for the past few weeks. Jennifer’s husband and father of her kids is actor Ben Affleck.
