Man Charged For Murder Of Abortion Doctor
Scott Roeder, 51, has been charged for the murder of a controversial abortion doctor in the States.
Dr Tiller, 67, was shot dead outside a church in Wichita, Kansas. He was one of the few doctors to specialise in terminating late-term pregnancies.
Roeder was later arrested 170 miles from the shooting.
President Obama has expressed his outrage at the murder, “However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence,” he commented
Tiller had been targeted in the past, with his clinic being bombed in 1986, and in 1993 he was shot in both arms outside of his clinic.
