Tommy Hilfiger Designs A Special Dress For Pregnant Wife

Finding a formal dress when you are pregnant for the annual Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum gala in New York City is not easy, but for Dee Ocleppo it helps that she is married to famous fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger.

Tommy Hilfiger and his wife Dee Ocleppo “collaborated” on a design for her dress for the Costume Institute of the Met. Hilfiger says that “It’s called makeshift… make your own at the last minute!”

According to Dee, though, the color of the dress was no accident. Wearing a baby blue dress, she said, “I wore the baby blue because it’s a boy. So I wanted to wear baby blue. We obviously have to make it an empire dress, [because] it’s very limiting, what you can wear when pregnant.”

Dee, who is due the first week of August, says that she is “feeling great” and is “very excited” to welcome her son into the world. Tommy also added that “We’re excited. It’s going to give us a new lease on life.”

As for a name for their son, they say that they have a few in mind, but are still going through “negotiations.”

This is the fifth child for Tommy who has Ally, 24, Rich, 18, Elizabeth, 15, and Kathleen, 13, with his ex-wife. Dee has two sons from her previous marriage.
