Brendan Adams is almost 7-feet-5-inches tall, the tallest teenager on the planet, according to the Guinness Book of World Records and he’s living his dream.
Just like any other male American teen, his dream has been to play in middle school football.
Brendan’s health problems are as formidable and challenging as his height; His body is riddled with tumours. His joints are enlarged. And doctors recently discovered an arrhythmia in his heart and he has arthritis. However, he’s challenging all around him, to be a normal teen.
His sky-scraping height is due to an inversion in chromosome-12, a growth gene. Brendan had all his baby teeth by four months and was as tall as an 8-year old by the time he was 4.
Local station KXLY reported Brendan Adams saying:
“I can’t run anymore,
“I can’t be active as I used to be.”
His football coach, Kevin Wetzel had to be creative to fulfil Brendan’s hopes. Kevin figured that no other player could jump as high as Brendan. So they thought out a play just for him.
Brendan goes about five yards out, reaches his arms up and catches a loft from the quarterback.
Oprah Winfrey invited Brendan onto the show and introduced him to Shaquille O’Neal. Brendan felt that he got some simple wisdom from the basketball star: “Just keep your back straight and have fun.” is what Shaq said to him.
Brendan hasn’t spent much time on the football field, but he’s a part of the team and a teen. That’s what is important to him.
Hank Baskett Hoping For a Boy This Christmas

Philadelphia Eagles player Hank Baskett is hoping that his wife-to-be Kendra Wilkinson gives birth to a boy this Christmas.
Hank Baskett told E! that he hopes that the little baby on the way for him and his fiancee Kendra is a boy, so that he can look out for the baby girl that is coming next. Hank and Kendra have made it known that they want several children and this baby-to-be is only going to the first of many for their family.
Hank said, “I’ve always wanted, like, three. Well, at first I was like, I want two, but you say two and then there’s that ‘oops baby.’ So, now I’d like three.”
Baskett also said that with the couple’s wedding in the next week, he is trying to take the burden and stress off Kendra since she is pregnant. “You don’t want to be having a baby and have the wife all stressed,” he explains. “I am trying to take care of most of what I can …I want her to enjoy this wedding, because if she’s happy, I’m happy. That’s all that matters.”
Hank also makes it known that he is going to be taking an active role in Kendra’s pregnancy. He says, “there’s going to be some things I can’t make, but I’m going to try my hardest to be at every appointment, at every meeting, everything.”
Kendra is already earning Hank’s praise as a mother to their little one. “She’s telling me what do about every little thing. She’s reading, and I’ve seen more baby television shows since she got pregnant than I have in my entire life. She’s studying up on everything, and that’s why I have to keep my game up, to keep up with her because she’s constantly testing me and asking me questions.”
The downside to Kendra being pregnant now is that Hank has started football training in Philadelphia while Kendra remains in California. Hanks admits, “That’s one of the hardest things, to be across the country while she’s pregnant. I don’t want her in any way, shape or form to feel like she’s doing this by herself.”
