Denise Richards Says She Learned Everything She Needs To Know About Raising Girls From Her Dad

Actress and reality star may not have too much to worry about with her two little girls yet, but she says that she learned some tricks from her dad about raising girls.

Denise’s dad, Irv Richards has taught her the ropes when it comes to raising her two daughters, Sam, 5, and Lola, 4. She told MomLogic, “When we were teenagers, he used to tap our phones. He worked for the phone company, so he had all the equipment.”

Though Denise says that she probably will not go that far with her girls, she has learned a lot from her dad. She also said that being a parent today is getting harder. She said, “As a parent now, it’s harder to keep tabs on our children, but I will be vigilant.”

With two girls, she knows that sooner or later she is going to have to worry about boys coming around, but for now her daughters, “pretty much think boys are yucky.”

Denise also went on to talk about how everyone seems to be so judgemental of other people and the way that they raise their children. The actress said, “Everyone is so judgmental when it comes to raising kids: if you breastfeed or not, feed them only organic foods.”

Richards has come under some scrutiny for having her two daughters appear on her reality show, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated. She had this to say about it, “The bottom line is, I’m not exploiting my children. ” She added to that Sam and Lola are only on screen “for about a minute here and there” and that “the show isn’t about them.”

She went on to say, “I get to incorporate them into the show — which means I can take them to school as part of my job. How many single working moms can say that?”

Sam and Lola’s father is Denise’s ex-husband Charlie Sheen.

The Spelling-McDermotts Spend Some Time With Denise Richards and Her Daughters in Hawaii

Tori Spelling, her husband Dean McDermott, and their two children are enjoying some relaxing time in Hawaii.

The Spelling-McDermott’s are enjoying their relaxing holiday away in Hawaii. The parents decided to treat their 2-year-old son Liam to a date night at Bada Bing restaurant in Maui.

Earlier that day, Tori, Dean, Liam and 1-year-old Stella, played poolside along with another reality star and her children. Denise Richards and her two daughters, Sam, 5, and Lola, 4 hung out with the family. Denise and her children are also enjoying a Hawaiian holiday.

Denise posted an update on Twitter, writing, “back in our hotel room. long day at the pool. So wonderful with the girls. hung out with tori and dean and all our kids..so fun..”

         

Celebrities and Their Families Come Out For A Time For Heroes Carnival

Hundreds of celebrities and their families showed their support for the A Time For Heroes carnival by enjoying a fun day while raising money for a good cause.

This weekend Disney along withthe The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation hosted the 20th annual A Time For Heroes celebrity carnival to raise money for the research of pediatric AIDS.

The carnival featured a special performance by Miley Cyrus along with a lot of celebrities and their families.

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation worsk with researchers in the field of pediatric AIDS to create programs to give children the care that they need and also help the researchers with finding the cure for AIDS. Their mission, though is to prevent the spread of HIV to others through their programs.

Hundreds of celebrities showed up at the carnival, most of them making it a day to spend with the family. Some of the celebrities that showed up with their families were:

• Sharon Stone and her two children
• Denise Richards and her daughters
• Brooke Burke and her family
• Ali Landry and her daughter

Charlie Sheen’s Son Still In the Hospital

Charlie Sheen’s twin boy Max remains in the hospital since being born premature on March 14.

Charlie Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller gave birth to twin boys, Max and Bob on March 14 and since then Bob has made his way home to the Sheen house, but Max remains in the hospital.

Sheen’s rep confirmed the news to Us Magazine, saying, “Charlie and Brooke’s infant son remains in the hospital, not because of a heart condition as reported, but because he has not gained the weight necessary to leave hospital.”

The rep also went on to say, “Max is expected to reach the weight requirement shortly and will join his brother [Bob] at home. The Sheens appreciate the outpouring of concern but have assured everyone that both Bob and Max are fine.”

Weight issues are a common occurrence among premature multiple births. The boys were born over 6 weeks early.

This is Sheen’s 4th and 5th child. He has two daughters, Sam,5, and Lola, 3 with ex-wife Denise Richards. He also has a daughter named Cassandra, 24 from another previous relationship.

         

Charlie Sheen and Wife Welcome Their Twin Boys

Charlie Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller has given birth to twin boys Bob and Max.

According to Access Hollywood, Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller welcomed their twin boys into the world on Saturday, March 14. Bob and Max Sheen were born in Los Angeles and arrived six weeks early. A rep for the couple has said that “they’re doing great and Brooke’s doing great.”

The boys are the first children together for the couple as Charlie Sheen has 2 little girls from his marriage with Denise Richards and a 24-year old daughter from another previous relationship.

Brooke had been hospitalized last month due to contractions but was released two days later. The couple announced Brooke’s pregnancy back in August and later announced that it was twin boys they were expecting.

         

Charlie Sheen Prepares For His Twins

Charlie Sheen is “so excited” for his twin boys to arrive.

When asked how his very pregnant wife was doing, Charlie Sheen responded, “”She’s fine! Everything is great. She’s HUGE, but she’s doing well and we’re so excited. We simply can’t wait.”

Sheen also told OK! Magazine that his daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards are also “excited to be big sisters.” Sheen also has a 24-year old daughter, Cassandra, from a previous relationship.

Brooke Mueller-Sheen is currently 8 months pregnant with twin boys, which will be the first kids the couple has together. She is due April 26,2008 but may be giving birth early as she has already been hospitalized once for contractions back in February. It is not abnormal for twins to come a couple weeks early.
