Rumour: Jennifer Lopez changes her name? Busted!

J.Lo, not Lola...

There’s an internet surge in searches for, “Jennifer Lopez Changes Name”. Mother of twins, Lopez has dismissed these rumours ahead of her eagerly anticipated album,”Love?”. The myth was that J Lo was changing her moniker to, “Lola”.

A promotional website for one of her album tracks ‘Fresh Out Of The Oven’, which debuted online on Wednesday, appeared to depict the singer as a female dancer named Lola.

An insider close to Lopez said: “Lola is just for this song, it’s not her ongoing persona. It’s something fun. She hasn’t become Sasha Fierce (Beyoncé’s alter ego). There won’t be anything to do with Lola on her Love? album.”

Busting the rumour completely, Epic Records president Amanda Ghost has since insisted that Lopez is not trading her previous nickname of J.Lo for Lola.

Amanda said: “This is a hot club record that the label loved and Jennifer thought was fun. Jennifer and Pitbull got together and the record leaked. Lola is a fun character just for this song.”

J.Lo has also been involved in promoting vaccination for whooping cough. Lopez is working with Sounds of Pertussis and March of Dimes to promote awareness about the disease and encourage vaccination of infants.
