Baby Born with Highlights in Hair
Larna Allman was born born six weeks ago with blonde streaks throughout her dark hair shocking both parents and staff at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. Even more surprising is that neither of Larna’s parents have fair hair.
Mother to the trend-setting baby, Sandra Allman, 23, a retail manager, said: “We always joked that it was a 12-hour labour because she was doing her hair.
“It was a complete shock for us to see it, and now everyone is inquisitive. Some people even ask us what we’ve done to her!”
Medical staff first spotted an unusual amount of hair on the babies crown in the 30th week of pregnancy, whilst doing a routine check-up on blood flow through the umbilical cord.
Father, Paul, 42, said: “We knew she had a lot of hair then, but we didn’t expect that much. We were just amazed when we saw it.
“The midwives were flabbergasted, and all the doctors who have seen her have been astonished - especially since neither of us is blonde.
“Maybe her hair decided to be blonde but then changed its mind. A lot of people think we coloured it, but it’s completely natural.”

Just thought i’d let you know I was born with dark brown hair and 3 blonde streakes in it.my mother thought I had 3 bald patches on my head. I still have them and am now 43 years old.
