Vitamin D Deficiency Found To Increase Chances Of C-Section
Vitamin D deficiency has been found to increase the chances of a woman delivering by caesarean section.
Recent research from the Boston University of Medicine studied the affects of vitamin D levels in women after the had given birth.
Their research showed that women who gave birth via caesarean had lower levels of Vitamin D than the women who did not.
Of the women studied, 17 per cent had required caesarean section. Those with low levels of Vitamin D were almost four times more likely to need a caesarean delivery.
