Pregnant bank robber distracted by cell phone
From Fayetteville in the USA. Police are on the look-out for a pregnant woman who attempted to rob a bank on Tuesday morning. The robber left with nothing however after her cell phone rang and apparently became distracted.
The female, who is in her late 20s to early 30s, walked into Carter Bank & Trust at 123 Rowan St. at 9:43 a.m., displayed a gun and demanded money, according to a Fayetteville police news release.
The female bank robber was carrying a note, the release said.
But she left without taking any money after getting a call on her cell phone.
The woman was wearing a knee-length, dark-colored skirt and had a multicolored scarf or bandana on her head, the release said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 433-1856 or the Fayetteville-Cumberland County CrimeStoppers at 483-8477 (TIPS).
