Teka Adams was befriended at the Queen of Peace, Missionaries of Charity shelter for pregnant women in southeast Washington by 40-year old Veronica Deramous. Deramous persuaded the pregnant woman to come to her apartment by promising her baby clothes and other items for her unborn child. The US has issued a product recall and Canada an advisory regarding the Amby Baby Motion Bed after the deaths of two infants in the US.

Madonna has been denied from adopting another kid from Malawi.
A judge and a lawyer have told the Associated Press that Madonna has been denied her adoption request due to a Malawian residency law for adoption. The residency requirement for Malawi is 18-24 months. Madonna splits her time in between London and New York.
