Official numbers out of the UK reveal that girls as young as 10 are getting pregnant.

The U.K.’s newspaper The Sun has revealed that in the last eight years, at least 15 girls aged 10 and 39 girls aged 11 became pregnant in England and Wales.

The Sun received its data through a Freedom of Information request, finding that in total there have been 63,487 reported pregnancies in girls aged 15 and younger since 2002.

The numbers were as follows: 15 girls aged 10; 39 girls aged 11; 268 girls ages 12; 2,527 aged 13; 14,777 aged 14; and 45,861 aged 15. It was not clear how many of the pregnancies were carried out in full or aborted.

The Sun noted that before this data was released, it was believed that the youngest mother in the U.K. was a Scottish girl who conceived at age 11 and gave birth at 12.

The numbers provide a clearer picture of what has generally been known already — England is struggling with teen pregnancy. England still remains the teen pregnancy capital of Europe according to numbers by the World Health Organization. Additionally, it was reported in November 2009 that England overtook France for having the most reported abortions in 2007.

As the numbers received by The Sun give no indication of neither the number of reported and unreported abortions nor miscarriages, the number of teen pregnancies is likely to be even higher.

Many Conservatives in office blame teen pregnancies on attempts at early sex education. With Labour’s call to have all children five and older receive compulsory sex education, outrage has become more prominent.

“There are far too many schools telling children they are entitled to become sexually active when it is ‘right for them’,” said Norman Wells, of the Family Education Trust.

Anastasia de Waal, of U.K. think tank and charity Civitas, agreed, telling The Sun: “We have kids behaving as adults, not realizing the complications. Often the girls feel they have to have sex to please their older boyfriends.”

According to rumors Victoria Beckham is ready to have another child later this year and is desperately hoping for a girl.

Apparently the former Spice Girl has had enough and wants her little girl. She and her husband David Beckham have three boys, Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, 7, and Cruz, 4 but according to an inside source Victoria desperately wants to have a daughter. She hopes to get pregnant later this year after the World Cup this summer.

A source close to the Beckham family says that Victoria, 35, has become “broody” ever since her sister Louise announced she was expecting her fourth child. The sources says, “Louise has just told everyone she is expecting and Vic has immediately become broody. She and David have always wanted a girl. He’d love more kids so it’s great news.”

Victoria has said in the past that should would love a little girl. Guess we will have to wait several months to see if these rumors are true.

In a recent interview on the Bonnie Hunt Show, David Arquette revealed that trying for child number two is “hard work.”

Although David and Courteney Cox Arquette are already parents to 5 year old Coco, it appears that the couple are having a harder time getting pregnant the second time around.

The actor revealed, “I mean, it takes a lot for us to do it, so maybe adoption.” He went on to add, “Hey! Listen, I like practicing as much as possible! But it’s hard, I’m exhausted!”

As for David’s daughter Coco he says that she is “definitely her own person,” but he does catch glimpses of both Courteney and himself in her. “She’s a little messy so that’s sort of on my side, but she’s very strong-willed which is very Courteney-like,” David said.

It’s a boy for actress Amrita Arora and her husband Shakeel Ladak.

The couple welcomed their first child on, a boy on  Friday, February 5.

The first congratulations for the couple came from a tweet from Riteish Deshmukh that said, “Congratulations AMU n Shakeel. It’s a beautiful baby BOY.”

Amrita and Shakeel married in March 2009.

The Extraordinary Measures actress dishes on her 2 year old son River and the traits he has inherited from her.

According to Keri Russell River has definitely inherited her general “silliness.” She says, “We dance around and act really crazy all the time. He’s a really sweet little guy so far.”

She adds jokingly, “when he becomes the genius that I am, I’ll say, ‘Oh yes — that’s from me,”

Keri also says that she is fortunate to be a full time actress and mother. “Luckily, right now, the schedule I get to keep with film really allows me” to balance work and family, she explains.

She adds, “I get to work really hard for three months but then I get to be home for four months where I get to put him to bed every night. I like getting to be in the adult world a little bit and then getting to be in the mom world and cook dinners. And for me that balance is what makes it nice.”

River is Keri’s only child with her husband Shane Dreary.

Although Pete Wentz’s future in the band Fall Out Boy may be questionable one thing that the musician knows is that he would love to have another child someday with his wife Ashlee Simpson.

Even though Pete’s son Bronx is only 14 months old he says that he has taught him so much already. He says, “My child has taught me selflessness, patience and how to give this unexplained kind of love.”

He adds, “I can’t explain this kind of love, but Ashlee, who is just an awesome mom, shares this feeling with me.”

Wentz also revealed, “We are very lucky and hope to have another child at some point.”

The fate of his band Fall Out boy looks quite uncertain now as he admits that the band is not together at this moment. Pete also does guest deejay appearances but it may be looking like he will be a stay at home dad for awhile.

According to Heidi Klum her and her 4 month old daughter Lou are a package deal.

Even though the model will be away from her husband Seal for Valentine’s day, she will still have her youngest child Lou by her side.

In an interview with Extra! Heidi talks about the youngest of her four children and how Lou is doing.

“[She is] great,” Heidi explained. “I mean, it’s a little bit hard because she’s very attached to me still.”

She adds, “She doesn’t drink from the bottle. That’s a little bit of an issue right now!”

Heidi is mom to Leni, 5, Henry, 4, Johan, 3, and Lou, 4 months.

Dannii Minogue, who announced last month she was expecting her first child, is set to star in a six part reality series.

The X Factor judge will reportedly get paid £200,000 to star in her own reality television show. The Sun is reporting that Dannii had a television crew following her when she found out she was pregnant last year and touted the footage to different broadcasters.

The reality show will also star Dannii’s boyfriend Kris Smith as they prepare for the arrival of their baby. The first episode is set premiere in June.

So why would Dannii want to star in her own reality show when there seems to be a “curse” on these type of celebrity shows?Katie Price and Peter Andre starred in their own reality series and look where they are today. Ozzy Osbourne had him and his family star in a reality show for MTV and has since said that he regrets doing the show. Singer Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey starred in a newlywed reality show and they divorced a few years later as well. Lastly, WWF wrestler Hulk Hogan and his family starred in a reality show for a few years and now him and his wife Linda are divorced.

Pregnancy and having a new baby can be a trying time without having cameras in your face and the whole world knowing what is going on. We will have to wait and see how Dannii and Kris fair from the show.

A webcam viewer in Cyprus alerted staff at a Scottish wildlife park that their white rhino was about to give birth.

Last December, a southern white rhino named Dot was set to give birth at the Blair Drummond Safari Park, near Stirling, Scotland. Excited, the staff set up a webcam to record the birthing process, which normally takes place in the early morning.

Around midday on December 21, after a 16-month gestation, Dot’s water broke. Staff were unaware of the event until an anonymous caller notified them.

Head keeper Chris Lucas told the BBC: “Just before 12 p.m. we got a call from our chief warden David Booth who said someone in Cyprus had been watching the webcam and had seen Dot’s waters break. It took us all by surprise — it’s totally the wrong time of day for rhinos to give birth.”

The tip allowed staff to get to Dot’s enclosure in time to witness the birth. “We don’t know who this woman was, but we are grateful to her. The webcam was like an extra pair of eyes,” park manager Gary Gilmour told the L.A. Times.

Dot gave birth to baby Ailsa, weighing in at 110 pounds and is already at 330 pounds after five weeks. Due to an unusually cold winter, the rhinos have been kept in a heated enclosure. While Ailsa is allowed to run around with its parents, it’s being kept separate from the rest of the southern white rhino herd for the next couple of months.

Baby Ailsa was one of eight southern white rhinos born in captivity in Europe last year. The species is endangered with a rough estimate of 17,500 of them left worldwide.

The depression of a woman during pregnancy may lead to antisocial behavior in her child later in life.

Researchers at Cardiff University, the University of Bristol and King’s College London have concluded that a mother’s antisocial history may predict her child’s antisocial behavior.

The research, published in the January/February 2010 issue of the journal Child Development, focused on 120 British youth and their mothers for over 16 years. The researchers interviewed the mothers of the children while pregnant. They followed up with interviews after the birth, and then later when the children were 4, 11, and 16 years of age.

Researchers found that women who suffered from depression while pregnant were four times as likely to have children who demonstrated antisocial behavior, compared to those women who weren’t depressed while pregnant. In addition, the team found that women who had a violent past were more prone to depression while pregnant, indicating a predictive pattern.

While analyzing the study results, they researchers looked for environmental and demographical links between depression during pregnancy and children’s antisocial behavior, but they couldn’t find any. Factors such as the mother’s education, IQ, ethnicity and social class seemed to have no noticeable impact on the link.

Dr. Dale F. Hay, professor of psychology at Cardiff University in Wales and lead researcher for the study, said, “Much attention has been given to the effects of postnatal depression on young infants, but depression during pregnancy may also affect the unborn child.”

Despite the research, Dr. Hay and his team weren’t certain of why a link existed, but they suggested that special support services should be opened up to those affected.

“Although it’s not yet clear exactly how depression in pregnancy might set infants on a pathway toward increased antisocial behavior, our findings suggest that women with a history of conduct problems who become depressed in pregnancy may be in special need of support,” said Dr. Hay.

It is estimated that nearly 10 percent of pregnant women have major depression and 20 percent see their depression symptoms worsen during pregnancy.

While the rates are comparable to similarly-aged non-pregnant woman, difficulties exist when managing the health of pregnant women with depression. Treatment using antidepressants is often not an option due to the risk of the developing fetus. Additionally, little research has been done on the treatment of that demographic.

The former Brookside actress has given birth to her first child, a boy, last night.

Jennifer Ellison and husband Rob Tickle are said to be “delighted” about the birth of their son Bobby.

A statement was released by the couple stating, “Jennifer Ellison and her husband, Robert Tickle, are delighted to announce the birth of their first child, Bobby, who was born last night at 9.50pm weighing 9lb.”

The couple married in a secret ceremony last fall after having to postpone their wedding plans due to work comittments.

Nicole Kidman dishes about how her priorities have changed as she has gotten older.

Nicole Kidman as been in the entertainment business since she was a teenager but now she is willing to leave it behind for her family. That doesn’t mean she will be leaving acting any time soon but her priorities have definitely changed.

She tells SHE magazine, “I used to have a crazy schedule, but then I reached a point in my life where I didn’t want to live like that anymore.” She adds, “I’ve worked since I was 14 … but now my priority is my family — my baby, my husband — and that’s non-negotiable.”

The actress refuses to be away from her husband Keith Urban for more than a few days at a time even when she has work commitments. “I’m not going on location unless we all go together,” she says. “I’ve worked hard enough — and now it’s all about resting and enjoying.”

Spending time with their 19 month old daughter Sunday Rose is also very important for both Nicole and Keith. Nicole also says that having Sunday later in life has made it much more special for her. Nicole experienced motherhood in her 20’s with her two adopted children with ex Tom Cruise but says it is different this time around. She says, “At this stage in life I was ready for her. Ready for this.”

When it comes to being Sunday’s mum she says, “The joy it brings. The simplest things, Sunday smiling a toothless smile and then suddenly it’s a one-tooth smile — it’s divine!”

Kidman says that when it comes to parenting two teenagers, Isabella, 17, and Connor, 15 at the same time as a toddler can be a challenge, “With Bella, I’m being someone she can confide in, while trying not to tell her what to do. With Sunday, I have to show her, teach her how to do everything … It’s really keeping me on my toes!”

She also goes on to say, “For Bella and Connor I was a young mother — and for Sunday, I’m an older mother. It’s strange to have two dimensions. It makes me want to be healthy and be able to do things.”

Sexual health clinics are planned to open up in secondary schools in Liverpool and Wirral, offering pregnancy tests, morning-after pills, and other health advice.

England plans to expand clinics to secondary schools in Liverpool and Wirral, but family planning campaigners are calling the move “counter-productive.”

The expansion is part of the “extended schools” program began by the government in 2000. Now labeled as “extended services”, the program was created to enhance the health and wellbeing of England’s children and teens.

In the borough of Wirral, 13 of 29 secondary schools have already opened up clinics. Five schools in Liverpool are set to take part in a pilot program for the area. These schools are among nearly 1,000 schools across England taking part in the program. However, the National Children’s Bureau is pushing to have the clinics installed in all secondary schools and colleges.

In opposition to the clinics, Dr. Adrian Rogers, a general practitioner and founder of the Family Focus campaign told the Telegraph: “Offering this kind of service in the school setting is going to promote promiscuity. There is already free, confidential testing and advice available at every GP’s surgery and family planning clinic.”

“Schools would be far better holding group discussions about the stupidity, the seriousness and the damaging effects of immature teenage girls who indulge in early sex.”

Yet NHS Wirral, which provides the existing clinics, told the Liverpool Daily Post that the youth are requesting the services themselves. The NHS said that the initial clinics were so “well received” that plans were in the works to install them in all Wirral secondary schools.

“Initial indications have shown that health services in school teams are providing early identification on a range of potential health related issues,” said Gordon Fair, lead consultant of the program.

“We have found that many young people are being helped and guided on issues including smoking, alcohol use and associated risk-taking behaviors.”

The Liverpool pilot clinics come on the heels of 2007 data that showed 5.16 percent of girls between the ages of 15 and 17 in Liverpool fell pregnant, compared to a national average of 4.17 percent.

A Liverpool PCT spokeswoman told the Liverpool Daily Post that in the future, the clinics would be voluntary to secondary schools in Liverpool.

She added: “National and international research evidences that if we are to improve young people’s sexual health and reduce the number of unplanned conceptions in young people under the age of 18, we must provide high quality sexual health education, and easy access to sexual health services for information and support. This is one of a number of local projects that aim to do just that.”

Peter Andre appeared on Sky News yesterday to promote his new album but the interview took a drastic turn when Peter was asked about his ex’s new husband Alex Reid possibly adopting his children.

With Peter’s ex-wife of less than a year Katie Price marrying her new boy toy and Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex Reid, the interview that Peter did for Sky News focused more on his relationships and his kids rather than his new album.

When he was asked about the wedding, he replied, “You know what I’m going to celebrate tonight? I’m gonna go home, I’m gonna cook my kids a nice meal, and I couldn’t care less. And I’m so sorry, I’m not being bitter.”

Peter also had to defend his position on wanting to adopt Katie’s son Harvey, He explained, “I asked to adopt him because I love him, I didn’t ask to adopt him to be disrespectful. When you love a child…he’s in my life, he calls me dad. I never said I’m his father, but I’m so proud to have him in my life. And it angers me - it angers me when people turn around - when I get a comment like that. Why is that disrespectful because I ask to look after someone’s child? I thought that was a good thing, I thought that’s what we’re supposed to do in this world. I don’t understand that.”

Then, the interview went very sour as Sky News presenter Kay Burley asked Peter about Alex Reid possibly adopting his two children, Junior, 4, and Princess, 2. Peter replied, “No one is going to take my kids away from me, nobody. Nobody is going to take my kids away from me and I will fight to the death for that.”

Not long after that Peter broke down and stopped the interview.

Some people are labeling Kay Burley as “insensitive” now but she says that she was “mortified” by the singer’s break down and that there is no bad blood between her and Peter. She even admits that she is on “team Pete.”

Burley also revealed on her blog that she apologized to Peter and he of course accepted her apology as he had only learned Katie and Alex had married a few hours before taping the show.

Peter and Katie split up back in May of last year after 4 years of marriage. Katie and Alex have been dating since meeting at a party in July.

The Brothers and Sisters actress and her husband welcomed their first child, a boy last month.

Ned, being a proud daddy, wrote on his Facebook page, “S.O.N. (Son of Ned) hath arrived. Emmett Andrew Brower weighs in at 8.2 lbs. Sarah labored for 15 hours w/ NO meds … she is a total powerhouse and my hero.”

Emmett was born on January 24 according to a rep for Morris.

The couple, who were college sweethearts, wed in 2005. They announced the pregnancy back in August and confirmed they were expecting a son in October.

A few months ago Sarah had explained that she desired to have a natural childbirth. She said, “I’m excited, curious, and terrified about doing it, but something in my gut is telling me that it’s an experience I don’t want to miss out on — even though I know it is going to be painful and hard. It is called ‘labor’ after all! But I look at it as a privilege we have as women, and I think that it will only make me stronger as a person.”

This is the first child for Sarah Jane Morris and her husband Ned.

Jessica Alba dishes on her Christmas vacation to Mexico and seeing her 19 month old daughter’s attitude make an appearance.

The actress appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and revealed how her “amateur” mom move led to the realization that her daughter Honor was a bully.

“We actually went on vacation over Christmas with another friend of ours that has kids, because now that you have kids it’s different going on vacation,” the Valentine’s Daystar said. “Single people aren’t really trying to wake up early in the morning, and they don’t really understand the meltdowns and a poopy diaper grosses them out.”

Jessica continued, “I try to be a very prepared mom and you have to pack 10,000 more bags when you have a kid. I pulled the big amateur move and I didn’t bring any toys. And we realized on this trip that my daughter is a bully: She would steal her girlfriend’s toys and push her and pull her hair for a stroller or for a baby doll or for a purse.”

So where does Honor get her attitude from? “I was feisty, but not at 19 months!” Jessica laughed, but admitted, “My mom said it was going to come back tenfold, and it has.”

Honor is the only child for Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren.

Nicole Richie and her partner Joel Madden brought along their 2 year old daughter Harlow to the new recording of the infamous “We Are the World” which was remade to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

Nicole tweeted about being able to come full circle as she brought her daughter to the same studio as she was in 25 years ago when her father Lionel Richie was recording “We Are the World.” She wrote, “I was 4 years old in a studio watching my dad record We Are The World, & today I get to do it again. Excited to help make a change.”

The original song was written for USA for Africa and was written by Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones. Lionel and Quincy are also producing the second version of the song which was recorded earlier this week.

Nicole also went on to tweet that day, “WOW. Brian Wilson stood next to me & I got to hear him sing right into my left ear. Can you say AWESOME!” And later she joked, “I hope Jennifer Hudson wasn’t upset that I was out singing her tonight.”

Joel seemed to be more concentrated on Harlow with his tweets as he wrote, “Watched harlow flirt with Kanye, Cary Hart, Busta ryhmes, Sean garret, and the jonas brothers. Just like her mom, she plays hard to get.”

Nicole and Joel also have a son, Sparrow, who was left at home for this event.

It was being rumored that the actor had split from his girlfriend Dolores Fonzi and was demanding a paternity test on their 1 year old son.

A source close to the couple spoke out about the rumors to PEOPLE saying, .”It’s completely untrue.” They also add that Dolores and Gael “are happy together and they love their son. This is totally made up.”

A rep for Bernal has also confirmed that these rumors are false as well.

The rumors that have been circulating state that Fonzi was cheating on Bernal and the couple broke up and he wanted a paternity test done on their 1 year old son Lázaro.

The Grey’s Anatomy star appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and took that opportunity to show off her 4 month old daughter Stella Luna.

Ellen Pompeo stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show today and talked about how being a new parent is for her and her husband Chris Ivery. Pompeo says that between filming Grey’s Anatomy and taking care of her daughter that she definitely needs an extra set of hands. “I have an amazing baby nurse,” she says. “I couldn’t do it without her.”

Even with the hired help, Ellen and Chris are going to be hands on parents as according to Ellen, Chris has already fallen for little Stella.

“Chris loves dressing her up like him. He’s like, everyday, ‘Look. We look alike,’” Ellen laughs. “So he goes out and buys her clothes that look like his clothes.”

The actress shared a picture of Chris holding Stella Luna in matching plaid shirts and jeans. Pompeo confessed to DeGeneres why she held out on showing off pictures of Stella and waiting until her appearance on the show to finally introduce her to the public. She revealed, “I have to give you the first picture because because I get to leave here with underwear with my name on it that my husband will wear around and it is such a good ego boost.” She added, “He runs around the house in the ‘Ellen’ underwear. It’s the highlight of my life.”

Not only did Ellen get the underwear but DeGeneres also gave her a present for Stella: a onesie that reads “I Love Ellen.”

Kate Winslet & Myleene Klass have both claimed to have had, "Baby Brain"

Scientists in Australia have rejected the theory of “baby brain”, the idea that women have memory lapses due to a pregnancy.

The idea that a woman who becomes pregnant suffers memory lapses has been cited as fact by many authors promoting self-help books for pregnant women. Those authors may want to reconsider.

New research out of Australia has found no link between a woman’s brain functions and pregnancy or motherhood.

Led by Dr. Helen Christensen of the Centre for Mental Health Research at Australian National University, the researchers focused on 1,214 women between the ages of 20 and 24. Those women were assessed in 1999 on their working memory, cognitive speed, and immediate and delayed recall. The team followed up with the women in 2003 and again in 2007.

They found that women who were pregnant during the assessments showed no decline in cognitive functions. Additionally, those women who had become mothers during the course of the study showed no cognitive losses.

In a statement by Dr. Christensen and her team, she said: “Not so long ago, pregnancy was ‘confinement’ and motherhood meant the end of career aspirations. Our results challenge the view that mothers are anything other than the intellectual peers of their contemporaries.”

“Women and their partners need to be less automatic in their willingness to attribute common memory lapses to a growing or new baby. And obstetricians, family doctors and midwives may need to use the findings from this study to promote the fact that ‘placenta brain’ is not inevitable.”

Dr. Christensen believes the idea that women lose cognitive functions during pregnancy is entirely psychological.

“Part of the problem is that pregnancy manuals tell women they are likely to experience memory and concentration problems, so women and their partners are primed to attribute any memory lapse to the ‘hard to miss’ physical sign of pregnancy,” she said.

The research, published in the February edition of the British Journal of Psychiatry, would appear to run contrary to past research that suggested brain size shrinks in pregnant women.

In January 2002, a study was published in the American Journal of Neuroradiology that found women’s brain volume shrunk by nearly four percent during pregnancy. However, it is speculated that the volume loss isn’t directly related to cognitive losses, but rather is a product of the brain creating new circuitry to allow the mother to better protect the child.

Actress Nicole Kidman was spotted outside a Santa Monica fertility clinic a few days ago. It has also been rumored that Kidman is already pregnant with her and Keith Urban’s second child.

Nicole was spotted coming out of a building that houses California Fertility Partners, which calls themselves, “a Los Angeles based medical practice dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of fertility issues.”

It’s being said that Nicole along with her assistant were seen looking at paperwork before driving off.

Back in December an inside source stated, “Nicole and Keith have made no secret about wanting a little brother or sister for Sunday Rose and they’re hoping they may have some happy news sooner rather than later. Keith is also working less and less and everything is being geared to accommodate their dream of more children.”

So is Nicole really pregnant or do you think she soon might be? Nicole has one child, 18 month old Sunday Rose with her husband Keith Urban and also has 2 adopted children with her ex Tom Cruise. When she was pregnant with Sunday Rose she never confirmed the pregnancy until after it was quite evident that she was pregnant.

The Y Tu Mamá También star has broken up with the mother of his son and is now requesting a paternity test be done as well.

Inside sources that are close to the actor report that Gael Garcia Bernal and his girlfriend Argentinean actress Dolores Fonzi have called it quits after it was found out that she had a relationship with director Luis Ortega at the same time she was dating Bernal. The actor is now requesting that a DNA paternity test be done on 1 year old Lázaro, who Gael has always believed to be his son.

The couple met on the set of their movie in 2001. When Lázaro was born last year, Gael said he was “glad” to be a father.

A rep for both Gael and Dolores have not commented on the situation.

The former Big Brother contestant who is three months pregnant with her first child announced that she has split from her footballer boyfriend Matthew Bates.

Chanelle just announced her pregnancy last month and now she is revealing that she will be a single mother. Just five months ago she and Matthew had a hug row and Chanelle tried to commit suicide. When she announced her pregnancy she stated that they were over fighting but apparently that is not the case.

Hayes talked to Star magazine about her pregnancy and how she is coping with Bates.

She tells the magazine, “I’m happy now and I’m really excited about it. I wasn’t ever planning to get pregnant, but I’ve been learning everything about what to do and just trying to enjoy it  -  even the bizarre bits, like food smells suddenly making me feel sick, and my fizzy cola bottle cravings.”

When it came to telling Matthew about her pregnancy she admits to being “nervous.” She says, “I was so nervous telling him. We were at his house two days before Christmas and I just said it. I thought he might come around to the idea and not freak out… but he is only young. I am only young.”

She adds, “He went silent, but what can you say? It changes your life forever. We both sat in shock, then we just went to bed! We didn’t really talk about it and I went home the next day. That was it. I know it sounds strange but we haven’t talked really. I thought he needed time to think. I’ve kept him informed though, and let him know when I’m having scans.”

Chanelle, who competed on Big Brother in 2007 says that she thinks she will be a “perfect mum,” and that she is “really maternal.”

Hayes also explained about her suicide sttempt just five months ago, “I’d just split from Matt and was really miserable. A lot of my friends had gone off to uni, and because my work changes all the time, I don’t have a definite routine. So I was feeling lost and just really sad, and didn’t think I could cope.’I meant to do it. People around me can tell you I was so upset it hadn’t worked that I thought about doing it again in the days after.”

This is the first child for Chanelle and Matthew although she has admitted to having an abortion when she was 18 years old.

A recently published study has found that ‘theory-based’ abstinence-only programs may postpone sexual behavior in adolescents.

The first clear evidence that abstinence-only education works has arrived in the form of a study sponsored by the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health.

The results, published in the February issue of the journal Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, found that an education program that does not take a moralistic tone, does not disparage condom use, and does encourage waiting to have sex until ready (not necessarily until married) was effective.

The study focused on 662 African-American students between grades six and seven in the northeastern United States. Those students were randomly assigned to one of five groups, each group offering a different type of program.

The five different programs were: an eight-hour program that encouraged delaying sexual activity; an eight-hour program that focused only on safe sex targeting condom use; an eight-hour comprehensive program that combined abstinence discussions with safe sex discussions; a 12-hour comprehensive program similar to the eight-hour program; an eight-hour control program that discussed health issues not related to sex.

The research team then maintained contact with the students for the next two years. They found that nearly 33 percent of those students who went through the specially tailored abstinence-only program had sex compared to 52 percent of those who participated in the safe-sex-only program. From the comprehensive programs 42 percent had intercourse. Of those in the control group, 47 percent had intercourse.

The researchers also found that the abstinence program, which didn’t disparage the use of condoms, seemed to have no negative effect on the students’ condom use.

Dr. John B. Jemmott III, study head and professor at the University of Pennsylvania, told the Washington Post: “I think we’ve written off abstinence-only education without looking closely at the nature of the evidence. Our study shows this could be one approach that could be used.”

“The take-home message is that we need a variety of interventions to address an epidemic like HIV, sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy,” he added.

Under U.S. President Barack Obama’s new funding policy for pregnancy prevention programs, an abstinence-only program like the one in the study could compete for funds.

“No one study determines funding decisions, but the findings from the research paper suggest that this kind of project could be competitive for grants if there’s promise that it achieves the goal of teen pregnancy prevention,” said Nicholas Papas, a spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services.

In an editorial that accompanied the results, the researchers cautioned that this one study should not regulate government policy, suggesting that similar studies may need to be conducted before solid conclusions could be drawn.

The Foo Fighters frontman talks about how his two children Violet Maye, 3 and Harper Willow, 9 months have completely changed his lifestyle.

Since becoming a father more than three years ago Dave Grohl has been doing some things differently. “I used to tour nine months out of the year,” he notes. “Now I don’t like being away from my kids for more than 12 days.”

He adds, “It’s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.”

Violet and Harper are Dave’s children with his wife of 6 years Jordyn Blum Grohl.

Two months after giving birth to her son Benjamin the supermodel, who had a home birth in a bathtub says giving birth “didn’t hurt in the slightest.”

The model gave birth in her home in Boston with her husband Tom Brady, her mom, and a midwife by her side. “My delivery was in a bath tub, in water,” said the 29-year-old. “I wanted to have a home birth. I wanted to be very aware and present during the birth… I didn’t want to be drugged up.”

Gisele added, “So I did a lot of preparation, I did yoga and meditation, so I managed to have a very tranquil birth at home.”

While speaking to the Brazilian TV channel Fantasticoshe she remarked, “It didn’t hurt in the slightest. The whole time my mind was focused in each contraction on the thought ‘my baby is closer to coming out. It wasn’t like ‘this is so painful. So I transformed that intense feeling into a hope of seeing him.”

When it comes to being a mother, she says, “It’s wonderful. You hear people talking about it, but you don’t know until it happens to you. I couldn’t be happier.”

Benjamin is Gisele’s first child with her husband Tom Brady. Tom has a 2 year old son with his ex Bridget Moynahan.

Thomas Howard had seen his wife give birth four times, but he never expected that he’d have to use what he had observed to personally deliver the couple’s fifth child.

After Emily Baron, 26, went into labor last Tuesday, she was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital, Lancashire while her husband, Thomas Howard, quickly arranged to have someone watch their children. Howard then rushed to the hospital to be with his wife.

Shortly after arriving, Howard noticed that his wife was bleeding. Unsure if this was normal, he brought it to the attention of the midwife.

“When I asked the midwife if this was normal she said she didn’t know, which didn’t fill me with confidence at all,” Howard told the Daily Mail.

The midwife then left the room, leaving the couple alone. Shortly after, the baby’s head appeared.

“It was then I noticed the baby’s head coming through,” continued Howard. “I pressed the buzzer to get some assistance, but nobody came and I decided that I would have to step in. I have never done anything like it before, but I’ve seen others do it a few times, so I had a rough idea.”

“I think it lasted about 15 minutes, it happened quickly, and I just had to go with it,” he added.

Emily gave birth to a healthy, 4 pound, 15 ounce Madeline Louise Howard at 8.15 a.m. last Tuesday. However, the couple is considering filing a formal complaint about the hospital’s lack of service.

‘”I know that these nurses are busy and work very hard, but I feel the department is understaffed,” said Howard.

“My one-year-old daughter was born with a cleft lip, and Adam had breathing difficulties at birth. They both needed assistance at delivery, and if this had happened to them, I dread to think what the outcome would have been. It’s just a massive relief that this has gone okay and she’s doing well.”

Ruth Gildert, the divisional general manager of family care for East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, has since apologized to the couple for the lack of treatment received at Royal Blackburn.

She said: “I would like to apologize to Ms. Baron and her partner for the distress they experienced when their baby was born at Royal Blackburn Hospital. We cannot comment in detail for reasons of patient confidentially but our midwives supervise all women very closely during labor.

“However there may, on some occasions, be the need to briefly leave the room and a baby can be born unexpectedly quickly, especially if this is not the mother’s first child.”

“As a result of the concerns expressed we will be looking very closely into what happened, and we will be contacting the family directly to discuss their concerns with them.”

The incident follows an announcement by Britain’s Nursing and Midwifery Council that the country is still making an effort to catch up to the recommended amount of staff.

The NMC released a report today titled “Support, Supervision and Safety” that addressed the country’s shortfall of midwives.

NMC’s Professor Dickon Weir-Hughes said: “Although successful efforts have been made to boost the numbers of midwives in many regions, others are still lagging behind. This problem could worsen as a significant proportion of experienced midwives and supervisors of midwives are now approaching retirement age.”

A rep for the actress set the records straight that Courteney Cox Arquette is not pregnant with her second child.

Star magazine had been reporting that the former “Friends” actress was pregnant with her second child after looking curvier at the Golden Globe Awards. Courteney has talked about giving her 5 year old daughter Coco a sibling but apparently not right now.

A rep for Courteney told GossipCop.com “She is NOT pregnant.”

This announcement comes only days after her husband David Arquette defended his wife and her weight after the New York Times printed that Courteney and her friend Jennifer Aniston had put on weight. He says, “Writing articles about people that put on weight is just wasting space for real news. And who really cares? I love round people. I love skinny people. I love people in general; we’ve got to get past labels and stop being so critical about everything.”

Courteney is currently filming her new television series “Cougar Town.”
