Eva Cassidy & The Carpenters are among my favourites. And yes... I am 22. Born at the wrong time as far as my music tastes go I guess! But yet again I'm not choosy. I can listen happily to Metallica and Pearl Jam just as easily as I can to Girls Aloud or Take That!

I can't even name a favourite here, I like far too many. At the moment I'm reading a history book I got out of the library about the Tudors & Stuarts but I'm soon starting a Literature course for my Uni degree so reading for pleasure will soon go out the window!

Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, any and all Disney movies, musicals... again I'll watch pretty much anything. From cheesy rom-coms to subtitled kung-fu movies (although the latter is down to my husband being a martial arts nut!)

Oh I hate writing about myself but let's give it a go. I'm married, have been for over two years now. Due to the government con that is housing prices we are living eith my in-laws at the moment. Hubby and daughter don't seem to mind that one bit but it does drive me crazy at times. I'm basically a full time housewife though I am studying with The Open University for a degree which I plan to use to go into teaching. I'm hoping to get some sort of part-time work once I get back from my holidays because I am so sick of being in the house on my own all the time. I'm unable to drive because of an eye condition and hubby doesn't drive because he can't be bothered to get off his backside and learn so sometimes I feel a little isolated. There are tons of things I'd love to do with Ellie that sometimes seem like too much of a struggle to do without a car and I don't get much enthusiasm or help with planning activities from my husband - the grumpiest man alive.

Ellie is 29 months old... going on about 13. With the way she answers you back, not to mention those oh so adorable temper tantrums anyone would have her down as a teenage nightmare. But no she has just barely passed two.

She's a sweetheart really, just a little too cheeky for her own good at times. She's got an incredible little mind inside that head of hers though. She can count to twenty (except 13 gets said three times) She knows her colours and shapes, can draw an actual face with eyes, nose, mouth and hair and has just started on her ABCs. I really don't force it on her, she just really enjoys things and it seems to stick so easily... God I wish the same could be said for her mother!

There are hundreds of things I could say about her that make her special and unique in my eyes just as I'm sure you all can about your own little ones. But those above are the ones that kinda stand out at the moment.



My Girl (July 07 - July 08)

Oh it's been an experience all right! I've loved every single moment of being a parent, whether it's seeing her learn something new every day, that little cheeky smile she beams at you when she's after something... or even the times she's screaming the house down for no good reason except she wasn't allowed a particular toy/sweet/TV show!

Creative Writing, reading books... generally crime fiction but I love all genres.

I also love going out for a curry and drinking a couple of vodkas though that doesn't happen nearly as often as it should!
