The Duggars Relocate to Little Rock for Holidays to be Close to 19th Child

The Duggars, who star in the show 18 Kids and Counting are relocating to Little Rock Arkansas to be near their little premature girl Josie who is in the NICU in the hospital after being born more than 10 weeks early.

Michelle Duggar gave birth to her 19th child at only 27 weeks due to pre-eclampsia so now the rest of the Duggar clan is making an effort to be with the little girl for the holidays. The family has decided to stay in Little Rock, where Josie is currently in the NICU at the hospital.

“Josie is 2 weeks old today,” Jim Bob Duggar tells PEOPLE. “We continue to take things day by day — she remains in the NICU where doctors are tracking her progress.”

Being that Josie was only 1lb 6ozs when she was born and she was over 10 weeks earlier it is expected that she will remain in the hospital for at least another 1-2 months.

Jim Bob added, “Our entire family is planning to relocate to Little Rock temporarily to be close to Josie. In the meantime, we’re grateful that a close friend in Little Rock has opened up their home to us for the holidays. We’re so thankful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.”
