Gisele’s Family Talks About Their New Addition

Gisele Bundchen and her husband Tom Brady welcomed a son on December 8th and now her family talks about the new arrival.

Gisele’s twin sister Patricia told PEOPLE, “He’s a beautiful, healthy boy. We are all really happy!”

Patricia along with Gisele’s mom were in Boston to be there to witness the birth and support Gisele. There are many of Gisele’s relatives who are still in Brazil and were not able to make it to Boston.

“We don’t know the name yet. I don’t have all the details. But obviously when someone is born into the family, it makes us all happy,” Gisele’s father, Valdir says. “We are all here in Horizontina, and my wife is there in Boston, so obviously we are a little distant, but we are all immensely happy.” The proud grandfather went on to say, “Obviously I have a huge desire to see my grandson. The arrival of a grandson always brings happiness to the grandfather.”

Another person of the couple’s extended family who sent well wishes was Bridget Moynahan, who is mother of Tom’s 2 year old son. She told PEOPLE, “I wish [Tom and Gisele] the best with their baby. I’m sure my son will enjoy having a half-sibling. I ask the press to respect our privacy while we are welcoming this new addition to our extended family.”

This is the first child together for Gisele and Tom who married earlier this year.
