Status Quo’s Rick Parfitt Seen With His Miracle Twins at Airport
Rick Parfitt may be an aging rocker in his 60’s, but his 18 month old twins are keeping him on his toes.
Rick Parfitt and his wife Lyndsay showed off their twins, Lily and Tommy as they made their way through Heathrow airport yesterday. The twins were born when Ricky was 61 and Lyndsay, who conceived by IVF was 49.
Lyndsay had suffered two life-threatening ectopic pregnancies as well as two miscarriages back in her 20’s and 30’s before she met Rick. She was told that she would not be able to conceive children naturally, so the couple decided on IVF treatment. The twins were born in May 2008 and are healthy toddlers now.
Rick has two older son, Richard, 33, and Harry, 20 from a previous relationship. Tragically, he had a daughter named Heidi who drowned in a pool at the age of 2. Last year the rocker revealed, “It is beautiful to have a daughter again. You can never replace Heidi but to have a little girl again is a dream for me.”
When the twins graduate from school and turn 18, Rick will be 79 and Lyndsay will be 67.
