Peter Andre: Harvey is “Fine” and “Happy” after Being Disharged from Hospital

Peter Andre told GMTV that after a swine flu scare Harvey is doing “fine” and that he and his ex Katie had a very amicable meeting for the child.

Despite the mean things that have been being said about each other, Katie Price and Peter Andre had an amicable meeting when it came down to visiting Katie’s son Harvey in the hospital. He says that they were able to put aside their differences for the sake of Harvey as they waited to see if his condition improved.

Peter said, “For your children, you stay amicable, that’s the way you do things. And there’s no problem when it comes to your children – that’s number one.”

Peter is glad to report that Harvey, who is Katie’s son with Dwight Yorke, is doing “fine” and was released from the hospital. Peter has been more of a dad to Harvey than Dwight, who has not been involved in his life at all.

He announced, “He’s OK. He’s actually… he’s much better. We were there the night before last, and then yesterday he went home early, quite early – so he’s better, a lot better.”

When asked if he had swine flu or not, Peter responded, “No one knows anything about that for sure yet, so we’ll find that out. But thanks for everyone’s support.”

Harvey has a condition called septo optic dysplasia, which means that he is partially blind and needs 24 hour care. He was taken to the hospital by a nanny and Katie’s mum after having trouble breathing and running a high fever. Katie was on her book tour but left as soon as she heard the news to be with Harvey, where she met Peter, who also cancelled an appearance to be at Harvey’s side.
