Keith Urban Hopes Sunday Rose Follows in His Musical Footsteps

Keith Urban is keeping his fingers crossed that his 16-month-old daughter Sunday Rose follows in his footsteps and becomes a singer one day.

She’s got some pipes,” says Keith. “I think she sounds quite musical. I sit at the piano with her in the morning and we mash the keys together.

Keith also says that it is just not him and Sunday who sing together. Apparently his wife and mommy to Sunday Rose, Nicole Kidman joins in with the singing as well. He says that it is “quite nice” singing with Nicole at home.

Although an album collaboration between Keith and Nicole is “not out of the question” one with Keith and his daughter is more likely.

Recently Urban won the award for Favorite Male Country Artist at the American Music Awards and he dedicated the award to his daughter and wife. He said, “I’ve never won anything with Nic sitting in the audience before. It was beautiful to have [Nicole] there tonight. She’s such a huge inspiration for everything I do.”

Keith and Nicole married in 2006. Sunday Rose is the couple’s only child together. Nicole has two older children with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
