Now an iPhone app claims to identify your baby’s crying, launched in the U.S. on Wednesday.
Five distinct states are identified and the use is simple. To begin translation, you hold the iPhone near the baby when he/she cries and touch the “Start” button.
In less than ten seconds a response will be given; hungry, sleepy, annoyed, stressed or bored.
The app, named the, “Cry Translator”, is the result of six years of research by a team in Spain.
Lori McKnight the companies spokeswoman said: “There are five distinct cries that have common frequency patterns, regardless of culture or language,”
“A mother learns these over time, but this can help speed up the learning curve, and also help dads and caregivers.”
The website claims; “These five cries are universal to all babies regardless of culture or language.”
Dr. Antonio Portugal Ramírez a specialist Pediatrician from Spain said: “Babies communicate their mood and needs through crying. If a baby is hungry, sleepy, in discomfort, bored or stressed (i.e. this makes up 95% of the reasons why a baby will cry), he/she will express it by crying.”
The application costs $9.99 and is available online. But do you need an iPhone app to tell you how to respond to your own child? Please Comment below.

But do you need an iPhone app to tell you how to respond to your own child?
Sure, why not? If you don’t know why the baby’s crying, and it does, why not accept helpful advice? If it’s wrong, and it turns out your baby’s not hungry, you can just go on guessing like you would anyway.

First, I was very skeptical about the app. But my husband loves all this silly stuff, so as it was on sales, he just bought it. Now I have to tell that it is amazing! It has worked perfectly! I am astonished! If you have an Iphone, just get it, it will make you life much easier!
