Kidnapped Toddler Discovered in Car with Dead Man

Earlier this week in Wichita Falls, Texas, police found kidnapped toddler Adrianelle Johnson unharmed in the back seat of a car whose driver was dead from a gunshot wound.

The 16 month old child’s grandmother called police earlier to report that three armed men had entered the home and taken the baby at gunpoint, according to Sgt. Joe Snyder, public information officer for the Wichita Falls Police Department. “At least one of the men is known to that grandmother,” he said. “She said the men took the child and entered a blue Dodge Intrepid and drove away.”

According to Snyder, the child is fine and was released to the grandmother after she was taken to the hospital for examination. Police were unable to immediately locate the child’s mother who has custody.

Immediately following the kidnapping, the grandmother went out searching for the vehicle. According to the police report, it took a while for her to get to a place where she could meet with police. Patrol officers searched for the blue Intrepid and dectives from the juvenile section were called in. They searched for any information linking the child and the suspects.

Approximately six hours after the call to report the kidnapping, police received another call reporting a deceased subject in a vehicle at 1515 Morgan Lane. When they arrived at the scene, police found the blue Intrepid. Inside they found Stuart Keith Walker’s body. The toddler was in the back seat unharmed.

The Wichita Falls Police requested an autopsy from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. According to police, the child’s family knew the deceased.

Police are still looking for the other suspects.
