Kate Garraway Nervous About Returning to GMTV After Having Second Child
The mother of two is preparing to head back to work after having her son 12 weeks ago but has some hesitations about messing up with her “baby brain.”
After giving birth to her second child, Billy 12 weeks ago, Kate Garraway is set to head back to work soon. Kate doesn’t want to end up embarrassing herself on GMTV from suffering from “baby brain.”
She wrote in her New! column, “Even though I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone, I must also admit I’m feeling really nervous about it. I got such bad “baby brain” the last time I was on maternity leave with Darcey, it took me a while to get back into the swing of things. On my first day back, we were covering the premiere of Pirates Of The Caribbean. The trouble is, I kept referring to it as the Pirates Of Penzance. Eventually my colleague Ben Shephard said, “Will you get a grip?”‘
Despite the belief that a woman’s pregnancy hormones affect her brain, it has been widely denied by medical researchers. Researchers actually claim that it is sleep deprivation that causes “baby brain” and not the hormones.
Kate is mum to 3-year-old Darcey and 12 week-old Billy.
