Heene Family not the only one’s to try and cash in on their Balloon Boy

A Canadian company are following the Heene Families footsteps to cash in on a hoax by creating a, “Balloon Boy” Halloween costume and sales are ballooning, (Apologies for the pun).

Plantraco Microflight specializes in online sales of remote-controlled and model aircraft, so it’s MD, Bud Kays, spotted an opportunity and decided to cash in.

CNN relentlessly chased a homemade helium balloon through the sky, reporting that a six-year-old boy was trapped inside and Bud Kay was watching when he came up with the idea to sell the Halloween Costume, though he said that he doubted the balloon was able to carry six-year-old Falcon Heene, it was too light.

Plantraco has made actual flying airships and saucers for a number of years, Kays said.

Plantraco has sold “dozens” since putting them up for sale on Tuesday, Kays said, and orders are coming in so fast that he’s bringing all hands on deck to cope with the demand.

“I don’t know where it’s going to end up, but we may need to have a product-assembly bee over the weekend,” he said.
