Mira Sorvino Welcomes Son Holden Paul
Actress Mira Sorvino welcomed another son as she gavebirth to Holden Paul Terry Backus on June 22nd.
The actress welcomed another son into her family, but her pregnancy was not without complications. Mira developed placenta previa along with a blood clot and had to be hospitalized for the over 9 weeks of her pregnancy.
Fortunately, Holden was born at a healthy weight of 8lbs 12 oz and mom and baby are both home and healthy.
Holden is the third child for Mira and her husband Chris Backus. He joins big brother Johnny Christopher King, 3, and big sister Mattea Angel, 4.
“We are overjoyed to bring our beautiful healthy son home to his brother and sister,” the couple said in a statement. “We are blessed to have a home filled with so much love.”
Mira added, “This whole experience, however challenging it was at times, really strengthened my faith in God and I know we are so blessed to have each other in good health. Because of my husband and my children, I feel like the luckiest woman in the world, and I just want to cherish every minute we have together.”
