Liev Schreiber Can’t Imagine Life Without His Two Boys

Actor Liev Schreiber dishes about his life as a dad of two little boys.

The 41-year-old actors says that he could not imagine his life without his partner Naomi Watts and their two sons, Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete, 22 months, and Samuel Kai, 6 months. Recently he did an interview with Hamptons magazine about being a dad of two little ones.

Liev said that his life completed changed from the first moment he heard his son cry. “The minute that they show up and you hear that first scream, it’s a pretty profound feeling. You know that you’re in for it — you’re in for the best thing that ever happened to you and the hardest work you’ll ever do.”

He also went on to say that with his son Sasha, his first time daddy jitters went away pretty quickly. “There’s just no questioning what you’ll do for your child. You’re not sure of that until your child is born and looking you in the eye and needing something, and then it just sort of happens. He added, “I had no idea that it would be so easy, but it’s just something … you take for granted that you have the ability to do. I think it came naturally to me.”

Naomi and Liev coordinate their work schedules so that only one parent is working at a time, so that their kids have the full attention. This also allows the couple to travel with their children and “do some great things.” Liev shared that, “Sasha just got his first swim in the ocean in Sydney, which I know meant a lot to Naomi.”

Liev also told the magazine that the Hamptons offers an escape for the family, where they can relax and have some fun. He says, “Just being able to have those quiet walks early in the morning — particularly off-season, when you’re on the beach early and nobody else is there. Sasha’s on the ground, running around the beach with his dog, having the time of his life.”
