29 Preschoolers Die In Mexican Day Care Blaze
A day care center in Mexico has been engulfed in flames, killing at least 29 children and injured dozens.
The fire on Friday started at a car and tire depot in the afternoon and spread to the ABC day care center in Hermosillo.
There were around 100 children at the center, most of the preschoolers died as a result of asphyxiation. The children were aged between six months and five years old.
Neighbours and teachers had tried to rescue the children and had ran into the building through black smoke. There was a scene of hysterical parents who were desperate to find out where their children were.
Three air ambulances containing medical supplies, along with 15 doctors has been sent to treat burn victims. There will be an investigation into how the fire was started.
