Woman Abandons Her Newborn Baby Again
A woman has been accused of abandoning her baby just hours after giving birth. It is believed that she gave birth to the baby boy at an apartment and cut the umbilical cord herself.
She later left the newborn with a note at her mother’s house in Lacey, Washington. The grandmother of the child was out at work, and the baby was discovered by the child’s uncle. After reading the note, he called the police.
Investigators later found the woman at a church, and she was taken to hospital to undergo a physical and mental evaluation.
It is not the first time the lady, who is in her 30s, has abandoned a baby. Last year she left her 11-month-old child at a daycare center and left the state. She was later found in Arizona. The infant’s grandmother has now taken over custody.
If the woman is convicted, she faces up to five years behind bars and may be fined up to $10,000.

But that most important thing is that she did not kill her child/children! We want to avoid any more deaths, right? She left her child where they would be found and taken care of. If we punish her what message will we send out to other women? I hope she gets seen and treated but to punish her for leaving her children will only put fear into others. I am tired of hearing about all these babies being left to die, let us encourage women to place their child/children where they can be found easily.
