Father Puts Newborn To Sleep With iPhone
A father has told how he used his iPhone for four months to put his newborn to sleep.
For the first few nights, his son had slept well through the hot evenings with the air conditioner in their Seattle home.
Once the evenings became cool, the parents realised that the baby was finding it hard to settle.
Brett Marl decided to use his iPhone to download White Noise from the iTunes Website. The simulated noise of an air conditioner humming kept the baby sleeping soundly and gave his parents some rest.
The baby shared his bed for up to 14 hours a day with the phone which emits radio frequency radiation - even when it is not being used to receive or make calls.
In 2007 there was a study by the journal of Occupational Environmental Medicine which found that people who used cellphones for over 10 years were at higher risk of brain tumors.
It is thought that the brains of children absorb twice the amount of radiation from mobile phones than do those of adults.
